A big vegan buffet for only 1 euro , you can fill your plate with vegetables, rice, noodles , so,e rolls and more . And you can eat on the tables close there or take away . If you are hungry is ok , but the quality is not so good . The food looks that stay there for days . But maybe the only one only vegan in town

Great Price - Edit
All you can fit on a plate for 10,000 kip. Went here 2 times. It was definitely better the second time because I knew what I liked from my trial the first time! The first time is a bit overwhelming, I wanted to try everything so I went a bit crazy.Definitely a must try!

Great find! - Edit
We've been eating here every night in Luang Prabang. Great vegan/vegetarian food for an unbeatable price! 10,000 kip for a loaded plate. So much cheaper and more filling than any restaurant. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing value - Edit
A really nice range of dishes here and phenomenal value at 10,000kip for as much as you can fit onto your plate! They will warm it for you in a wok, too, which is nice. I'm not convinced it's 100% vegan as there were a number of battered things here which I wondered about - is the batter egg batter? However, there are enough other things to satisfy a vegan, including a great range of veg (delicious pumpkin and aubergine!) and also non-egg tofu!!!!! They tend to favour the egg-tofu in a number of places in Laos, it seems, so it was great to find the purely soy variety here. Tasty enough, and big beer Lao for 12,000kip. Can't argue with that!

Go early - Edit
Range of vegan food arrives super fresh just after 6pm to a waiting line of hungry Europeans. 10000 for the buffet and 10000 for the beer is a pretty hard deal to beat. If the food lasts beyond 7pm it's perhaps best avoided in this heat.

I would recommend going early (before 6 pm) when the food is fresh and hasn't been visited by too many flies. The spring rolls are simple and tasty! Food is not too greasy which is a plus.

Cheap and clean - Edit
Not especially delicious or warm, but a much better option than most of the overpriced restaurants on Sisavangvong. There are actually 3 stalls. One where the description says and the other 2 in a covered food alley next to Indigo Cafe (maybe vegetarian and not Vegan). I've only tried the first. The photos people have uploaded are from both locations. There are also many other Vegan foods in the night market. Coconut mini pancakes, fried bananas, steamed corn, Vegan spring rolls, fruit, and veggies on skewers.

all vegan buffet - Edit
As this buffet is the only all vegan place in Luang Prabang, we had to check it out. It's only 10,000 kip (about $1.25) and all you can fit on one plate. The food was basic, but very good. They get a five just due to being vegan and so cheap. Can't be beat. And there's a long communal table and we barely got a seat. The place is hopping. Definitely check them out and stroll around the market too.

Vegan & Cheap - Edit
It's really nice to have this place - street food without having to ask and to worry whether it is vegan... and very cheap (only 10.000 Kip)! You pile up as much as you want on a plate, than hand it over to them to reheat it in a wok. So, it all gets mixed in the wok, consider this when choosing your options... You can then eat your food at large communal tables in the street.
Read moreThe food isn't a culinary revelation, but is tasty and filling. It isn't easy to find inexpensive vegan options in the centre of Luang Prabang, as everything is very very touristy and many restaurants aimed at a wealthy clientele, with focus on french cuisine...

Cool experience - Edit
Love the style of eating experience here, very casual - just pay, fill your plate and eat at a long table on the street. Can be filling as long as you pile up your plate. Great to have so much variety that is vegan! Not convinced the rice is vegan - looked and tasted very much like cheese (yummy though!) All for the bargain price of 10,000 kip, win!

The cheapest food you can get in Luang Prabang. They have a lot of things to choose from. The food is tasty. Very often the food is cold but then you can ask them to warm it up in a wok pan. There was some days that they didn't have the pan but most of the time they did.

The only veg*n game in town - Edit
As of Feb 2015, this little pop-up buffet table is still Luang Prabang's only 100% vegetarian eatery, and it seems to do a roaring trade.
Read moreThere's a very good selection of Lao vegan dishes to choose from here.
The only downside is that, even when we arrived right when they opened at 5:00pm, most of the dishes were lukewarm at best and several were cold. This isn't just an issue of taste and texture; it's also a health issue, since potentially harmful bacteria starts growing on most cooked foods left out longer than 45 minutes or so. For this reason, we suggest that everyone who eats here do as we did: Ask them to heat up the food for you. If enough of their customers ask, perhaps they'll realize the importance of this.
That said, the food is tasty and the people serving it are delightful, and at 10,000 kip (barely more than $1 US) for as much as you care to pile on your plate, the price can't be beat.
So, if you don't mind crowds, communal tables, and a potentially jostling wander to find this place, we think it's a great experience to eat here at least once, even if only to get a taste of local life and support people who are selling vegetarian food.

very good - Edit
No evening during our stay in Luang Prabang went without visiting this place. The food is very simple but tastes delicious when you add some of the sauces provided on the tables. At the end of the day, you can't complain about anything when the place makes you full for 10 000 kip.
Read moreThere are quite a few stalls on the same market street that sell sandwiches. Vegetable-only version is vegan if you skip mayonnaise. Same is with juice shake stalls. Tell them not to add any milk and you have a nice vegan dessert. Be aware that coconut milk powder that they offer instead of milk is NOT vegan (contains casein).
Pros: good value, location, variety
Cons: could be cleaner

Cheap vegan food with good ambiance - Edit
I am not sure if I am reviewing the right place as there seemed to be a couple of vegan food stalls around the night market. One was in the middle of the food stalls, while this one was on its own at another place in the night market. Food was inexpensive as you could fill your bowl for only 10000 kip which would be enough to fill most eaters. You could also buy a big bottle of BeerLao for only 10000 which was another bonus. You could ask for them to heat up your plate but you would have to wait quite a while if the place was busy. Food options all tasted about the same but was not

Great vegan buffet! - Edit
Great vegan buffet! Tasty root-vegetable dishes, sprouts, tofu, rice-paper rolls and more. You can pile up your plate really high and it's only 10,000 kip. Incredible value! If you want your food hot, give it to the stall owner to reheat in the wok (I was happy with mine unheated though). Then you grab a seat on the communal table and enjoy!
Read moreIt's a bit tricky to find the stall. If you enter the night markets from the west, walk down Sisavangvong road, straight past the first laneway of food stalls on your left. (There are buffets in this laneway with some vegetarian options but also lots of meat.) After 5 minutes walking through the craft stalls, you'll see the vegan buffet by itself, on your left, on the corner of Wat Mai / 'Vat May'. It's worth it to find this all-vegan one. It's un-signposted, but you'll recognise it by the fact there aren't any chargrilled animal carcasses on the table.
Pros: Delicious variety, Incredible value
Cons: A bit tricky to find

Mediocre food but what a deal! - Edit
The buffet-style food was nothing spectacular, but for 5,000K i guess i really can't complain. Bland, oily, but decent and cheap. The plate is small, but its a good choice for a light dinner or snack. Also, the night market atmosphere is nice. From what I could tell, all 3 vegetarian booths at the market more or less had the same food.

A very popular place - Edit
We found the veggie stall selling 5000kip buffet plates just on the corner of the National Museum and we were very impressed. There were about 10 or so dishes to choose from including salads, rice, tofu, noodles and rice paper rolls for an extra 1000kip each. All were covered with clingfilm and you just help yourself. To be honest the plates aren't that big but you can pile them as high as you like - and what else can you expect for 5000kip?! - I would recommend it as a fantastic place for a light dinner. Nice to see it so busy. Grab a place at the communal bench as soon as you can (watch out for the wheels under the table) and just enjoy the Night Market around you.
