All-you-can eat place with many vegan options - Edit
Hiro is an all-you-can-eat Sushi place that also offers a number of Japanese and Chinese dishes. That's good and bad at the same time.
Read moreLet's start with the bad - if you go there with non-vegans, you will be confronted with all kinds of non-vegan food getting eaten in copious amounts. That alone is not an attractive proposition for many, so I was originally not enthusiastic when my non-vegan family suggested visiting this place.
The good thing, however, is, that I realized that they do have a number of nice vegan options, so that I could try a lot of very nice items myself.
How does it work? You scan a sticker on the table with your mobile device, and then you can order from the menu. Vegan items are marked as such (unfortunately only in the paper menu, not online), and the menu is very long. Once you have ordered, it takes only a few minutes until one of the serving robots ("Bella Bot") makes its way to your table, showing on a screen on which of the 3 trays the requested order for your table can be found. So another thing to bear in mind - if you sit on a chair instead of the bench, it's likely that you will get the task of handing all the food over to the rest of the people sitting at your table.
They have different prices per time slot, and the more expensive items that are only available in the "evening" time slot typically are only non-vegan items, so for vegans the best time to visit might be around noon.
Overall, I'd definitely say it's a place worth checking out. Next to it there is a huge Asian supermarket that also has many vegan options you might have challenges finding elsewhere.
