One of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever had. - Edit
I visited Hills’ with a large group of people and was the only vegan diner. We chose the restaurant as the owners work directly with local vendors/farmers to create a fresh cuisine from scratch.
Read moreThe decor in the restaurant was simple with a very cute, old, brick bar/lounge area. The focus at Hills’ is definitely on the food and it paid off.
I asked the server about vegan options. The salads, the Singapore street noodles and and two of the sandwiches found under the vegetarian list along with the vegan burger (listed as the protein burger) could all easily be made 100% vegan and were fairly priced for a slightly expensive dining experience.
I ordered the street noodles and my mother-in-law ordered the veg burger. The noodles were plentiful, flavorful and full of grilled and steamed veggies with a sesame, turmeric and soy-based sauce. The dish was super colorful and huge.
I tried a bite of the veg burger and was excited to taste a flavorful and pleasantly-textured patty- not mushy or bland at all.
The chef, server and food were super and if I ever visit again, I’m gettin’ that vegan burger.
