Delicious food! Great service. Affordable. - Edit
This was one of the top vegan restaurants we have ever tried. Service was exceptional. Portion sizes were great and food was brought very quickly. We had fresh pressed juice that was made very good. Excellent prices. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend.

Not bad but not really worth going out of your way - Edit
This restaurant is pleasant, but very much alike a lot of other cafe/restaurants in Siem Reap, that although not vegan-only, may offer just as good vegan (and vegetarian) options.
Read moreWe had a crispy vegan "non-pork" on rice and an avocado wrap, that were good but both slightly dry. Portions rather on the large size, like most places in SR.
Price range same as most places too.
Although everything was ok, I did not feel the offer was exceptional enough to go all the way there again.

Gluten free labelling may be wrong - Edit
I chose this restaurant as my partner is celiac and it has options listed as gluten free. We ordered a smoothie bowl without granola (it came with oats in the end even though it wasn’t listed in the description as having oats as an ingredient and in Aus celiacs cannot have oats - it may be different here I’m not sure, so I ate most of it) and the pandan pancakes which also were also listed as gluten free.
Read moreHe was very sick after eating here and we’re fairly sure it was the pancakes. Of course we’re not 100% sure but he’s showing signs of being glutened and hadn’t eaten anything else. I hate leaving a bad review on the only vegan restaurant in Siem Reap but I thought other people needing to avoid gluten should be warned to take the labelling with caution.
In fairness to the restaurant the pancakes were tasty and the smoothies are good
so I have given a fair star rating. The smoothie bowl was a bit ordinary so maybe skip them if you come here.
It was a pretty pricey meal for the two of us which we paid to make sure he wouldn’t be sick…so we were quite disappointed.
Pros: All vegan , Presented nicely
Cons: Expensive , Gluten free perhaps falsely advertised

Modern Vegan - Edit
First thing that we noticed when arriving was the modern decor and menu. We were also just so happy to find a vegan restaurant in Siam Reap that looked inviting.
Read moreWe ate here a couple of times while in Siam Reap and also got take out. The outside seating area can be very hot during the day, but the inside area is well air conditioned with fans running too.
Food is good, most of the dishes tasted healthy, not oily which we appreciated. Smoothies were lovely!

The only fully vegan place in Siem Reap - Edit
Compared to Phnom Penh, Siem Reap is a lot more relaxed and laid back. Because of the temples here, Siem Reap also has a very spiritual vibe to it. It is a great place to go. Unfortunately there is only one fully vegan restaurant here (as of October 2024) and it is HeyBong. This place is in a quiet street a little away from Pub Street. This road is a mixture of dirt road and concrete road. There is plenty of street parking. The place is very nice. There is a verandah that gives you shade and there are many fans to keep you cool. The food is delicious. The menu is huge, so even though it's the only vegan place in town, you can come back again and again and won't try everything until quite a while. I enjoyed the cauliflour bites, the scrambled tofu, the vegetable dumplings, and the cocoespresso. The staff here are also great.

Amazing breakfast - Edit
We went for breakfast and loved it! Had mushrooms/avo on toast and avo/chickpeas on toast 😍… and I don’t know what they put in those sauces but wow! We had a juice & protein smoothie that were too nice they were gone before we remembered to take a photo. I had the blueberry protein shake - I usually hate protein smoothies/shakes I don’t know what possessed me to order but it was delicious couldn’t taste the ‘protein’

Delicious, big portions - Edit
Lovely setting, down a relatively dark street at night but seemed quite safe.
Read moreGreat menu, lots of wraps and burgers, I had the cauliflower nuggets ($3.50) which was a huge portion I couldn’t finish (you can get them packaged up) and then a tropical chicken burger ($6) which was a fried oyster mushroom, salad, pineapple and bbq sauce in a bun with ‘funky fries’ which I think are sweet potato, as they tasted different from regular fries.
Also had the passionfruit iced tea (500ml – $3.50) which is not sweet but quite refreshing.
Would happily return.

Comfort food stop - Edit
After 3 weeks travelling and eating the local, traditional food, we were tired and in need of something familiar and a little stodgy. Hey Bong was perfect.
Read moreWe had a couple of beers and burgers, followed by a dense chocolate cake with amazing ice cream and, finally, some pandan pancakes! Can't believe it's taken until now to find some but we were delighted that we did.
The burgers were perfect - tofu katsu - a slice of firm tofu with excellent breadcrumbing and lots of sauce. The Hey Bong burger was a great bean based patty, with more traditional pickle and burger sauce flavours. The alioli was outstanding.
The pancake was served warm with banana, fresh mango and a wonderful, thick syrup. This is a must order! The chocolate cake was a large slab of cocoa rich flavour.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here and would go again if we were staying longer in Siam Reap.
****need to add! Because we were visiting Angkor Wat at sunrise, our accommodation provided fruit and coffee first thing, which is all we wanted at 4.30am. We asked Hey Bong to make us a tofu sandwich to take out for the following day. It was amazing! They packed the bread roll, sauces, salad and tofu separately, so we could construct it ourselves and avoid a soggy sandwich. It kept really well. 100% recommend the tofu sandwich!

Best Vegan Restaurant! - Edit
Came here multiple, multiple times over our 6 days in Siem Reap. Each time did not disappoint. Got the Cumin Tofu noodles, katsu tofu, cauliflower wings, katsu burger, oyster tropical burger, dumplings, tofu wrap, tofu ciabatta and the blueberry protein smoothie! All the food was delicious, staff very friendly and kind! A must visit restaurant when in Siem Reap.
