Baby Elephant Hotel - Best vegan Food in Siem Reap - Edit
The food is amazing - so many delicious vegan dishes to choose from including burgers, pastas, salads and traditional Asian food. This place needs to be promoted as the Baby Elephant Hotel as its principles speak of compassion and care. The staff are so kind. I attended yoga classes here and had an amazing teacher Sreylin. When I saw their menu I was amazed at the vegan range!! We have eaten here twice during our time in Siem Reap and hope to come again before we go. The garden setting is so relaxing. We feel very contented here. Thoroughly recommend and would give 5 stars if I could. Thank you to all the staff. And a special thanks to the chef!!

Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel Restaurant - Edit
The full menu & Slam Dunk menu are labeled for vegan/vegetarian/gluten/free. Prices match Western style restaurants in the area. I had a savoury bowl, the dressing was made from scratch. Filling & nutritious. The tables are in a garden oasis by the pool.

Cons: No gluten-free bread option

Great burgers inside the Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel - Edit
The hotel offers two menus - regular dining and the Slam Dunk menu. This can be a bit confusing, so make sure to ask for the Slam Dunk menu. We stayed at the hotel and ate off this menu twice - once with burgers which were great, and one night after eating sooo many curries we got sandwiches and they were also delicious!

Cons: Can be confusing - ask for both menus

It's ok, lots of vegan options across two menus - Edit
We came here mainly to try the Slam Dunk Sandwich Co menu, but the hotel also has it's own menu with many vegan and vegetarian options. It wasn't until I asked about the Slam Dunk items they brought that menu out. It'd be nice if they brought them out together.
Read moreThe service was good and the burgers and spicy fries were nice, but the burgers/ portions are quite small. Worth trying though.
Pros: Good range of vegan options, Good service
Cons: Small portions

Great burger! - Edit
They had many interesting burgers and sandwiches and it tasted really good! It’s a bit weird that the location is at a hotel, but over all the food is good and the service is nice

Literally inedible - Edit
This place has a slightly ridiculous setup, in that Slam Dunk has a menu, and the hotel has a different menu, but they’re both served in the same restaurant.
Read moreNot knowing this, I came in and just asked for “the menu”, and was given only the hotel menu.
Even though it had some meat, there were also many clearly-marked vegan items, so I assumed I was at the right place and they just served meat now.
I ordered the vegan burger, and it was only once I’d ordered, did I learn there was a separate Slam Dunk menu. However, as both menus serve food at the same tables, and you order from and are served by the same staff, for the purpose of this review, I’m going to consider them the same restaurant. Therefore, this shouldn’t be listed as a vegan restaurant, as you’re going to be eating next to tables with meat dishes on them.
The burger I got was the first time I’ve ever had food that was literally inedible. The bun was so stale that I couldn’t physically bite through it. I almost dislocated my jaw trying.
And this isn’t me being a wuss. I can open beer bottles with my teeth without a second thought. The bun was literally so hard that you could not bite it. I then tried stabbing it with a knife, and that wouldn’t go through either.
To their credit, when I complained that I couldn’t physically eat their food, they took it away and came back 10 minutes later with a burger bun of normal softness that, had it been served like that from the beginning, I’d have had no complaints.
But the fact that they were willing to serve this burger in a bun so stale it exceeded the capabilities of the human jaw is damning enough on its own.
Even though I didn’t actually order from the Slam Dunk menu, I won’t be coming back here again. I didn’t have a good time.
FilthyVegan.
Same kitchen too, probably. Cross contamination is highly likely

Delicious and many vegan dishes - Edit
The name of the restaurant on Happy Cow is a bit confusing since it’s inside the baby elephant hotel, and the restaurant doesn’t seem to be separated from the hotel on google maps either.
Read moreThe slam dunk is a separate menu but they have the “regular” menu which have a lot of vegan dishes such as Big vegan breakfast, different bowls, pastas, Cambodian dishes etc.
So the restaurant is NOT fully vegan since they have animal products, hence 4 stars instead of 5.
Pros: Tasty food!
Cons: The restaurant is not fully vegan

There is a restaurant in the baby elephant hotel. It’s not fully vegan. The sandwich/burger menu is fully vegan. But other menu also have lots of vegan options. And food there are very tasty. Breakfast even nicer. The hotel guests are lucky to have them🙈 there is a little shop as well.
