KFC fix - Edit
This place will definitely cure any cravings for KFC you may have. The mac and cheese is the best I've ever had. The creamed corn was not for me and the mashed potatoes are okay. I also liked the coleslaw. I have definitely eaten too much of the "chicken" and felt sick after from the amount of oil though. The tater tots on the bottom of the basket is a really cute detail and overall I really like this restaurant.

Oh my god where do I even start? I had the blue cheese sandwich and my hubs and friends had a bucket to share. My friends, both meat eaters said it was one of the best fried chickens they’ve had.

I got the bucket meal and the texture of the fried chicken is perfect, but the chicken could use a little more flavor in the seasoning. The sides were off the hook! Get the corn! The mashed potatoes are also very tasty. The milkshakes are spendy but made with Oatly and are probably the best vegan milkshake I’ve had- very thick. If you’re in Minneapolis, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Everything was good, most was great. We had a bucket with dragon dust and corn. The dragon dust is actually a little spicy, so be warned. I loved it. Even the blue cheese tastes right. I have some personal preference for a saltier biscuit with this type of meal, but the biscuits are still good.

HFC is a dream come true for junk food vegans. They keep adding to the menu and I love the new additions. The vegan chicken is good, but I love the crispy "skin," aka crunchies, even better. They even added an option to order extra crunchies, which is exactly what I wanted!
Read moreThere is a Smash'd Bowl, with fried chicken pieces, mashed potatoes, and bacon creamed corn. I ordered it with extra crunchies. It's like a warm blanket for your soul. I could eat this every day with just the crunchies, bacon creamed corn, mashed potatoes & gravy, all three of which are absolutely delicious and seasoned by the angels.
The Fried Chicken Sandwich is also amazing, along with those perfectly seasoned tots.
Biscuit - the first time I got hard biscuits. But the subsequent times they were very good, made even better with their maple butter.
Shakes I tried and loved - vanilla bean, strawberry shortcake, pumpkin, chocolate malt. All so thick and delicious! I suggest they invest in stronger, bigger straws to handle the thickness of their shakes.

I visited the Herbivores Butcher and had one of the best hot panini sandwiches I had ever had. There was no way I was passing up visiting their sister location for some Vegan Fried Chickun. With so many options, it was difficult to make a choice, but I decided on the bowl. Chikun, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and I added on a biscuit. It was a very nice portion size and very tasty. Looking forward to coming back.

just wow. amazing food. longggg wait, but for a reason. worth it. cream corn was wow! so good and flavorful. favorite side dish for sure. biscuits were really good, dry but thats a given. mashed potatoes were also delicious, the gravy!! oh my gosh. chicken, soo good but very similar to the animal version it’s scary haha my only comment is i wish their pieces were smaller to give a better batter to chicken ratio. my carniv friend loved her food but agreed on there being such huge chicken pieces. im gonna ask for the small pieces next time. overall, a GEM of a restaurant!!!! i wish they had indoor/outdoor seating

I was so excited this landed on my radar when I went to minneapolis a few days ago. WOW is the word. Just WOW. Destroys KFC. Why eat animal flesh when you can get a bucket of the tastiest plant based chicken in the world. And the biscuits, and mashed potatoes and gravy WOW. The only problem is this place is in minneapolis and not LA and I’ve been craving it ever since. WOW.

Super delicious, the chicken tastes just like KFC if that’s your thing. Easy to pick up and bring home. My only complaint is everything is exceptionally salty, even the mashed potatoes, so much salt.

So amazingly delicious. We drove up to Minneapolis from Milwaukee to visit some friends but, I’d drive back just to eat here! The chicken was so crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside. We will most definitely be back!

BEST CHICKEN EVER - Edit
I used to love KFC and Herbie's chicken is seasoned so similarly, super moist inside and crispy crunchy outside. The biscuits are fluffy and dense at the same time and buttery. Lots of sauce options. Yummy creamy cole slaw. I think in a few months when they're not brand new the wait time to order will hopefully get better. 5 stars if it was more affordable.

Ordered chick'n, biscuits, tots, Mac N Cheeze, coleslaw, bbq/ranch/sweet N sour/butchers sauces.
Read moreChick'n-- thick, crunchy batter, not quite as seasoned as I'd like; not greasy; seitan with good mouth-feel, slight chew/soft.
Biscuits-- nailed it, rich flavor, well layered, crunchy outside/soft inside; maple butter nice addition, but biscuits stand on their own.
Tots-- wicked crunch, well seasoned
Mac N Cheeze - - reasonably mimicking cheddar cheese, a little starchy vs creamy, slightly overcooked/soft noodles
Coleslaw-- fresh crunch; salty, strong garlic creamy dressing (if you don't like garlic, don't do it)
BBQ sauce-- strong, typical smokey sweet, tangy (a bit overpowering)
Ranch-- strong (love it) Dill, creamy
Sweet N sour-- apricot(?), ginger; more sweet than sour
Butcher sauce-- creamy wasabi(?)
Pros: Fun eating that we vegans don't often get, All eating-types will enjoy
Cons: Don't go for the health food! , Seasoning of chick'n not sufficient w/out sauces

I’m not into faux meat (creeps me out/too real) so I could take or leave the chicken, but the animal eaters with me gave it two-thumbs up. I absolutely love the coleslaw, mac-n-cheese, biscuits, and malts. All were DELICIOUS! I was surprised at the price - LESS than I’m used to paying in this area. I fed 4 people for the price of two meals at other So Minneapolis (only partially vegan) restaurants. This will be my go-to place when I’m feeding a group (especially when the group contains animal eaters.) They are very new so very busy, order ahead! They were also having issues with running out of items (again, they are very new and there’s high demand).

We got a large bucket—6 pc chicken, 2 large sides (chose coleslaw and macaroni,) biscuits and some tater tots at the bottom. Honey mustard dipping sauce and “butcher sauce” were both good. Unfortunately, there was some raw batter or dough in some chicken pieces and the biscuits were undercooked and gummy inside. Sides were really good. I think that in a month or two when the opening rush dies down and they have a chance to get into a good groove this will be a fun option to have in the neighborhood.
