A mostly vegan, very affordable restaurant serving exclusively traditional Sri Lankan foods. All food items are fully vegan although on request fried eggs and fresh milk are available. Managed by the Department of Agriculture. Food may include rice and curry, hoppers, string hoppers, pancakes, loads of fried items, sweets, etc. No set menu and most like the items change daily. Open Mon-Sun 7:30am-5:00pm.

I travel to find genuine places like this restaurant and to create connections with people who run them.

The ladies who work there are all fantastic and despite the language barrier we were able to connect.
I even worked remotely (bring your own hotspot as there’s no wifi) from there one day, because I liked the vibe so much.
When I had a call with a developer from Sri Lanka who now lives in Sweden, almost all ladies joined the call, which was a great moment 😍
