Nice and cheap! - Edit
I work at UCLH (1 minute walk from this shop) and at least once a week I go there on my lunch break. They have really good vegan paninis that they will toast for you so you can have it nice and warm! Only 3,50£! The vegan chicken one in particular is my favorite! Amazing! Their homemade vegan chocolate brownie is also to die for!

hot and cold food is back! - Edit
I used to come here many years ago when the shop was bigger and was sad when it stopped serving all the delicious hot vegan food. But, the food is back! They do a variety of veggie and vegan curries and Indian snacks, vegan and veggie sandwiches including with vegan cheese and vegan smoothies! They have an outside table too but mainly for take away. Delicious

Great Find - Edit
This is a great little place, with really cheap and delicious pre-packed vegetarian and vegan sandwiches (usually 2 pounds each, or sometimes 2 for 3 pounds), a selection of veggie veggie burgers, which are slightly more expensive, and delicious curries served with rice (2 curries for 4.50, 3 for 5.50). I've found the food to be pretty salty overall, but delicious nevertheless. They've also got a great selection of vegan and non-vegan desserts. I recommend the (vegan) chocolate fruit and nut slice.
Read moreThe food comes in take away containers, and there is not a whole lot of room to sit, but it's great for a quick bite. I've found the owners to be very friendly and they are always willing to suggest vegan curries to try!
Pros: great vegan selection, good desserts
Cons: curries are a bit expensive, only take away containers

Carrot and Sultana Yummy ! - Edit
To begin with my review relates to the food section, not the advice & supplements department next door. I first discovered this place a very long time ago and have recently started visiting again. A great selection of snacks - cakes (inc. vegan carrot & sultana, and walnut), flapjacks etc - complement the slightly spicy but delicious lunchtime counter. A lot of south Asian style food but they also have several different types of pasta bakes, jacket potatoes (inc. beans, curry etc.) and a choice of different rices: brown, vegetable biriyani and lemon & cashew. The take-away sandwiches in the refrigerated area (to the left as you enter) are filling and inexpensive at usually £2,00. The friendly staff are also willing to accommodate your particular preferences, and they have seating for about seven people inside and a bit more outside.

Nice little find - Edit
being a student at Westminster Uni and on the pathetic government LOAN finding good vegan food at a fair price is not easy. This small store front shop is a little gem and one of our favourite lunchtime haunts. The salad bar as mentioned in a previous review is a vegan thing and is great if you want either a small or large salad. The chiller offers vegggie and vegan sarnies, snacks and drinks. Then at the back a group of friendly staff to serve a selection of pastas, curries and other hot foods with BROWN rice. Large or small portions are available. If this is not enough then there are a selection of cakes with vegan options. The shop also sells a range of heath products including soy drinks, milk, supplements, cereals etc. A fantastic good value place in the heart of London. Make a visit as you will be more than satisfied.

Don't be put off by the exterior... - Edit
Herbal [censored], natural human growth hormone, Daily Mail articles about the latest wonderdrug -- all these signs scream at you when you approach the Health Food Store, but fear not! Within, the friendly owners have a massive selection of food starting with a salad bar of vegan delights including potato salad with soy mayonnaise. At the back, the counter sells curry dishes, loads of vegan pasta and pre-prepared veggie burgers and schnitzels (they'll heat these up for you). The fridge section has a huge array of packed vegan sandwiches and organic drinks, too inc. veg BLT; hummous & salad; etc. On a hot day, you can walk to Regent's Park and in the summer if Fitzroy Square is open you can take the food there to eat.
