What was I thinking?

Harvesters are a last resort for me. After driving to Cardiff for hours then getting lost and driving down a bus lane (I now await my fine) I couldn’t face driving back into the city from my hotel so going to the Harvester seemed like a good idea.

Wrong.

The service is slow and pretty dire, trying to get the bill was fun. Our drinks took longer to arrive than the food.

There’s a few vegan options and I went for the nacho burger rather than a Beyond one as I’m not partial to fake meat.

Burger was cold inside. The sauce tasted like death. Ordered vegan garlic bread which was basically some dry bread with garlicky herbs on. Not good!

Salad bar was just dregs.

On top of all that Harvester is always so loud and full of screaming kids. Admittedly I was there with my kid who was also quite annoying but he does it quietly!

I’ll brave the drive into the city tomorrow!

Pros: A few options

Cons: Badly cooked food, Slow service , Noisy
