Incredible! Did not disappoint! - Edit
Had a layover in LA and this was the closest vegan spot. So glad I stopped by, did not disappoint! The single burg’r was delicious and sauces made it feel complete. Also tried the deluxe crispy chick’n which was good but not as good as the regular burgers. Chick’n nuggets were some of the best I’ve had since becoming vegan. Lots of sauce options. Super clean and aesthetic looking inside. Hope to see more of these fully plant based fast food restaurants open up near home and all over! Cookie and cream shake was probably one of the best I’ve ever had! I have no complaints, fully vegan fast food is what your expect and that’s exactly what you get at Hart House!

Feed that Junky Hart - Edit
Who knew that Kevin Hart would be the one championing a plant-based burger chain right in the middle of LA? I definitely got a heart on for Hart House with its junky vegan goodness.
Read moreLike most fast food joints, you order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. My friend and I split two burgers: the Double Burg'r and the Deluxe Hot N' Crispy Chick'n. We also had a side of tots and fries along with a cookies and cream milkshake. To say this meal was heavy and decadent would be an understatement.
What was the verdict? Pretty damn good plant based burgers y'all... although the double burg'r was extremely messy and ended up dripping all over the table lol. The chick'n kept better and I enjoyed the buffalo style tofu patty that they used. It's not my favorite chick'n burger but still not bad to let me reminisce of food I once ate.
Free parking is available in the lot which makes this an accessible place to stop by especially if you're near LAX.
Pros: Amazing vegan milkshakes

Hart House - Edit
I had the double burger and it was great. I'd give 5 stars but there are other vegan burgers in LA that I like better. Super friendly staff and nice location.

Good chick’n burger! - Edit
I enjoyed the crispy chick’n burger, but it lacks ingredients (plant-based mayo, pickles, & vegan cheese optional). I’m not a big fan of pickles but every chick’n burger has pickles as one of two or so ingredients so that it makes no sense to remove them as it would not be a filling burger that way. Look forward to going back and trying something new on the menu! I wish there was a Hart House in Montreal 😅

Exceeded expectations - Edit
The food was tasty and exceeded my expectations. The crispy chickun sandwich had a nice pleasant texture and was not heavy considering it being fried. The tots had a nice fresh crunchy flavor and the strawberry shake was flavorful and delicious. Overall I like the that the food was not too heavy to digest however the one downside was my meal was served colder than fresh and hot. I am not sure what happened as the kitchen was not too busy. Anyhow, I recommend checking it out!

I wasn't able to eat when I went in there. Walked out b/c weird vibes in the kitchen and the dining room. Prolly cuz Kevin Hart isn't a vegan, or maybe the camera crew and feeling like I was under a microscope while a market research team analyzed my shopping behavior to see what vegans like or not. Hint: I like vegan operated anti-capitalist food distribution not corporate businesses using my ethics as a sales gimmick. Glad you enjoyed it!

I definitely see your point, a that sounds like bad timing! I wouldn’t call this spot a vegan operation more in line as a plant based establishment. With so called vegan restaurants nowadays flipping their menu and ethics in reverse and adding cruelty menu items just to stay in business, I think I am cool with a spot like this that’s not choosing to do that. I think the animals would thank them regardless.

Unless they were the unlucky ones killed by their owners for a meal they didn't need to eat. Could be worse, unfortunately is a logical fallacy and doesn't improve the situation of the victims. I'm only focusing on the negative aspects of this business because that's what should be fixed. Wish more vegans would support vegan only bizzes for sure and your observation is proof why it's so important.

Would be really nice if HappyCow could add a data point for "vegan owned" business. That would be helpful.

We loved everything about this place! The salads were both great, and we got them topped with the spicy chick’n. Fries were yummy. Fun music playing. Big thanks to Kevin Hart for creating such an excellent, affordable place!!

Hmm - Edit
Usually I’m very forgiving to all vegan restaurants. From the moment you walk in you are hit with a strong chemical type smell. I ordered the regular burger which was just Impossible/Beyond meat and tots/fries. That same smell in the restaurant permeated the food it was nauseating. Very odd and unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant.

The smell mentioned in this comment wasn’t present at all when I went. Also, I am pretty sure the burger is house made (not Beyond or Impossible).

Vegan fast food has arrived to the South Bay… - Edit
This has become my staple fast food go to. Both their vegan burgers and vegan chicken sandwiches are delicious. Their nuggets are great as well, all for a fair price. It seems they are expanding as well with 2 other locations in Monrovia and Hollywood. I highly recommend trying if you’re near one.

Cheap & Tasty: Future of Vegan Eats! - Edit
I traveled to the LA area and HAD to try the Hart house while there! Honestly, im impressed! First off, it’s cheap ESPECIALLY for LA! I tried the Double Burger (#2) & the Hot Chickn Sandwich (#5) plus tried the fries (this was over 2 trips). My family who are not vegan also tried it and loved it (they did the burger and nuggets). Honestly, it really replicates a fast food taste and I really recommend the chickn sandwich! The fries are also super tasty…which I’m not someone who often eats fries, but I really did like the ones here! The single burger Pattie’s are a little thin so I recommend the double to really taste the fake meat. Really liked the good price. Additionally the place was clean and workers were nice. I definitely recommend it and whenever I go back to LA, I’ll definitely visit again. But hopefully they’ll come to Florida soon 🌺

Omg - Edit
Surprised at how good this place turned out to be. They make their own vbeef and it’s so close to the real thing almost scary. They use close to no plastic in their take out packaging. The fries are outstanding. Plus it’s Kevin Hart’s!! Support black owned businesses. This place was excellent

Outstanding vegan fast food! - Edit
Had lunch here ordering the Deluxe Crispy Chick’n and large Crispy Tots. The difference between the regular and large didn’t look substantial, the the large is a LOT of tots.
Read moreThe restaurant was very clean and I really liked how light and open it was inside. The staff were friendly and welcoming and eager to answer our first-timer questions.
I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich I ordered and might even order the Kale Crunch as a side on a future visit. The tots weren’t seasoned at all, so I’m guessing one is intended to use the Dipping Sauces. I’ll have to keep that in mind for next time. I’ll definitely be back!

Excellent experience - Edit
This is a fresh, fun, clean and delicious vegan fast food experience. I read other reviews from bummer vegans saying that the food is processed. It’s Vegan fast food and they do it very well. If you want a quinoa salad experience, this isn’t it. Though they do have some healthy salads. This is one of the best vegan fast food places I’ve been to and I think it’s fantastic.

Vegan fast food near LAX - Edit
The strongest selling points for this location of Hart House are that it’s 100% plant-derived and it’s walking distance from LAX. Otherwise it’s essentially a friendlier replica of any other fast-food burger-and-nuggets joint. The menu features highly processed comfort food of average quality, plus a few healthier salad options. Worth considering if, like me, you’re at LAX and willing to make a trek to support a vegan business over a meaty one.
