We ate at the restaurant for lunch and it was great !

There was a few vegetarian and vegan options and everything was delicious,
You can also order from the menu which also features vegan options (the vegan burger is totally approved).
Service is great and it is ideally located in the heart of lake Saimaa. I strongly recommend !

Quite surprisingly for such a remote location, Harjun Portti offers a whopping six vegan options in their menu. Most are converts from their omni-counterparts, but judging by our two meals, the quality did not suffer from this at all.

The chef/server told us that they really try to accomodate vegans among other special diets, so you can expect the menu to stay the same way for the foreseeable future.

Hidden gem! - Edit
A very basic looking gas station right next to the beautiful lake Saimaa. We went here to have lunch with my in-laws and was a bit nervous if there would be anything vegan on the menu (and if, would it be eatable). What a treat! I had caramelised seitan with potatoes and a fresh salad and my spouse took the seitan burger with sweet potatoe fries. Even the child mayo was vegan. Absolutely delicious food in here!
