Very tasty - Edit
The main menu only offers vegetarian options. Upon asking about vegan options, the server provided a separate menu with 2-3 entrées, 2 types of rice, 2 appetizers, and a dessert option. I had the jackfruit curry, coconut rice, and vegetable samosa. I could have split the meal if dining with my wife. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was equally enjoyable.

Only two vegan options? - Edit
When I asked about vegan options and clarified that this is dairy-free and egg-free the server checked with the kitchen and said that only the eggplant dish and the spinach dahl can be made vegan. While the plain naan is dairy free it has egg in it.So not sure if they changed their ingredients or their chef since previous reviews that mentioned other vegan dishes?!
Read moreSaying that, the eggplant was very good! And the veggie dishes are all under $20, plus $5 per person for rice.
Cons: Only two vegan options

Quality food - Edit
This is a relatively upmarket restaurant, with a few tasty vegan options. My favourite was the eggplant dish.

Vegan options, nice but quite expensive - Edit
Darwin does not have many vegan options.
Read moreHanuman has some good vegetarian options but remember to tell them you don't want butter or ghee (clarified butter) used in the vegetarian dishes.
Prices are quite expensive I paid $55 for a drink, rice, dahl and a jackfruit curry (which was delicious).
Pros: nice food
Cons: meat served

elegant and reasonable Thai/Indian - Edit
In Darwin and Alice Springs part of Hilton hotel. has non plant foods but the menu is extensive and the tables separated so not an issue. Dinghri Mutter ( button mushrooms in tamarind sauces), and Tadka Dahl are delicious BUT the highlight is the Eggplant Pachadi , we both grabbed a piece of Naan to wipe the bowl clean. even the coconut rice is one of the tastiest we have had. there is about 12 plant based dishes and all under 20 Australian $. one of the best in Darwin where one can find good edible vegetarian food
Read morePros: Eggplant Pachadi, reasonable prices, prompt service
Cons: has non plant based food
