burnt, rockhard pizza. Owners refused to fix problem. - Edit
I am a vegan and gluten-free. Hansen served me the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The sun-dried tomatoes were burned, and the pizza was the hardest one I’ve ever had in my life. It was like eating a rock. When we called and asked for a replacement, the owners indicated that the vegan cheese wasn’t very moist & they didn’t make their crust in the house. as a result, there crust is typically quite dry. I. I did explain that I’ve had gluten-free crust for most of my life and I’ve never had anything like this, and I think it might’ve been an error. Their response was that they would offer to remake it, but not to deliver it. I offered to pay a delivery fee, but they said they couldn’t deliver it because the first time we had not requested delivery. I’m at home with my kids, and they are halfway being put to bed. Instead of making the situation right by delivering at six minutes from the restaurant, they declined, saying that they were unable to deliver it because they needed to punch something into the computer for over $20. The logic, your doesn’t make sense, because if I would’ve ordered the pizza and paid the delivery fee an hour ago, they would have brought it back to me. I save them the gas the first time, and now they won’t drop it off to me the second time for extra money?

in addition, I’m luckily not celiac. As my friend watched them make my order, she witnessed them, taking it directly out of the pizza oven and putting it on the same cutting board as all of the rest of the pizzas. If you’re celiac, please don’t risk eating here. ps: my order was tagged as allergy.

Whole Wheat Crust & Thoughtfully Prepared - Edit
This place is the opposite of the rushed and generic big Corp pizza franchise and pizza here is thoughtfully prepared. As reflected by the questions asked when ordering, there’s a certain sensibility the chef takes in preparing food for vegans. I ordered the Urban pizza with tomato sauce and toppings of asparagus, artichokes, and mushrooms. Topped with ample daiya cheese. Flavorful and ample toppings. $24 Cdn for a Large.

My fav Vegan Pizza - Edit
Hanson's classic Pizza does the best Vegan pizza I have had in town. They just roll out the daiya cheese which is pretty typical but their dough and other ingredients tasted fresh and ripe. I loved the deep dish option even though I know there is egg in it. It's a little tricky maneuvering their options to make a vegan pizza. It's easiest to create your own. I will always order my pizza from here unless something major comes to town. Service has been fast and the price is good.

Great Pizza - Edit
We had Hansen's pizza while in town for the weekend and staying at a hotel. The Kelowna area hasn't always been very vegan friendly, so we were really happy to find out we could get vegan cheese pizza in town.

The pizza itself was really good. They confirmed that only the whole wheat crust was vegan, but that was OK with us. The crust was really good! We chose our own toppings and the selection was pretty good.
Overall we really liked this pizza and will be return customers.
Pros: Tasty pizza!
Cons: Veggie meats would be awesome
