One stop plant based convenience

Finally a place that serves vegan soft serve and vegan donuts with good coffee (and the right creamer)
This place is showing the world how a food mart should look like. Bring on more! So thankful for the visionary owners and managers.

Pros: Convenience, Not more expensive grocery stores, Great variety of products, not just food

Cons: You’re not going to find a gallon size cow milk, You may end up buying more than you went in for

100% Vegan convenience store!

I love the pictures, info about the animals, of course being 100% vegan basically 711 is awesome! Prices are okay. Had a brownie and that was so good went back and got more. The employees were rude one in particular was an older man maybe 30s or 40s. Each time I came in I can tell he hates his job, I asked how he’s doing just stares at me and rings me up and says nothing. My spouse had similar experiences on separate occasions. I don’t feel welcomed and it’s a bummer because it’s all vegan.

Pros: 100% Vegan , Parking, gas, bathroom , Lots of vegan snacks!

Cons: Employees were rude , One location only , Prices are okay

Great concept

I wanted so badly to be over the moon happy with this place but, I left with a slightly different impression. Maybe it's a work in progress. Just because it's vegan doesn't mean it's good for you (or the planet).

The concept is great, in my head I thought it was going to be a magical gas station convenience store that was unlike any I've seen before. In some sense well, it is but, the similarities to a standard gas station store were very evident. You will find many of the standard unhealthy stack food items like Doritos or Monster drinks here but, then slightly more healthy options are mixed among them. They did have some nice vegan scones available but the soft serve was down when we visited.

Vegan Mob food truck outside was tasty yes (and messy), but it's very far from "health food" and I found it quite expensive. we got a burger and a poor boy and with tip it was $45~

Would I get gas here, absolutely yes, what a great way to send some profit towards someone who clearly cares about animals. Would I stop here to pick up some snacks on my way out of town for a road trip, sure would if it was closer to me. Is this the place I'll bring a visiting friend for a quick lunch or dinner, no it's not but. I don't think that's what they are going for.

Pros: great idea and offers some healthy snacks

Incredible vegan treasure in the Bay Area!

This store is open 24 hours and it’s just more than a vegan gas station. This place provides car wash, animal rights messaging, and quirky figures to look at (like a giant dinosaur figurine eating Vladimir Putin. Not sure what’s the story with that.) The manager, Joss, is really passionate about what he does and creating a plant-based space for not only for vegans but everyone to enjoy! Get out here and support your vegan business: get your gas here, car wash, buy a bunch of plant-based snacks/hot food! There’s also a Vegan Mob food truck so you can stop by here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

Pros: Open 24 hours, All products are vegan, Lots of animal rights messaging everywhere

Vegan 7-11

If 7-11 was all vegan, this would be it. Whether you have the munchies or you need to pick up a quick frozen meal, this is the place! From ice cream to candy bars, frozen pizza to frozen meals, they have got it all. Gas and a car wash too!

Pros: Lots of selections , Food I’ve never seen anywhere else, Friendly staff

Cons: A tiny bit pricey , Not next door, Cannot teleport me candy bars

Love!

I love everything about this place! The art on the outside is so neat. I love all of the messages. The inside is so cool, everything is vegan. We bought bagged snacks, and baked goods, such as scones, cupcakes, and the donuts!!!! The donuts alone are worth making a stop. Every time I've come in there has been something different to try (AND IT IS ALL YUMMY). If you are in the area please stop by and give them business.

Pros: Great treats, Friendly staff, Great location

Cons: Wish there were other locations

Best gas station EVER!!!

Cannot get over how amazing this place is. High recommend the breakfast sandwiches and donuts, but everything they have is worth trying! They have so many items I have never seen or only seen online and so fun to have a place with truly endless options. Staff is nice if you are, so grain of salt on other peoples takes there…they’ve always been friendly and helpful in my experience😄

Pretty cool for a gas station

I was generally surprised by the options. I went late at night but I expected more options from the pastries but that might of just been the timing. The pastries I did get were really good and I got some candy that I have never seen before in the US. I’m excited to try it.

No pricetags and unhelpful staff

Update: increased my rating by a ⭐️ due to a thoroughly pleasant interaction during a second visit many months later. Hope to increase it again going forward 🙂. Original review below.

-----

I love the idea of a convenience store where vegan customers don't need to check every label for hidden animal-sourced additives. But I found it very frustrating that this store does not have price tags on many (if not an overwhelming majority) of their products.

That's already annyoing enough as-is, but when I present a couple items to the cashier to ask "Do you know how much these cost?" I expected a bit more than a "No." A bit of initiative, such as using scanning the product with the device sitting six inches from their right hand, would have been appreciated.

On principle alone, I can't justify going back to or recommending a store where I can't tell a $2 product from a $8 one. And, going by their gas prices being substantially higher than those of nearby competitors, I have to assume the markup is quite large.

Amazing concept, great selection, questionable execution

I looooove the idea of this place. 10% of the profits go to animal charities and everything is vegan! They have a very nice selection of convenience items and food. However, they do not have the prices labeled on anything, and everything was way more expensive when I checked out than I had imagined. I got a cupcake which was tiny, hard and stale and was charged $8…. Ridiculous! I’m glad I saw the place but can’t imagine myself coming back here any time soon besides maybe to grab an item or 2 and ask them to scan it for price first!!

Everything I hoped for

It sucks to walk into a gas station and want a snack but you have to check the label on everything and 90% of the stuff you can’t eat. This is not the case here you can safely walk in and get all the munchies you want. It is good to know that this can be done and I hope it spreads and if anyone from hangry planet reads this, if you need an investor please contact me.

Pros: If vegan your in hevan, Classic gas station snacks, New gas station snacks

Cons: If you are not vegan you may need an open mind, Parking

5/5 soft serve

Just came in to check this place out. Everything is vegan! But nothing you can't find at a Whole foods and such except the baked goods section and the soft serve (yuuuum). Worth a drop by in the area.

They operate the car wash too, the outside poster says free vacuum with car wash, but it's subject to employee availability.

So glad this exists

It's exciting to see something as simple as a gas station turned vegan. When you come here, it feels like you've stepped into a vegan world. There are end factory farming signs and information about the dairy industry on the gas pumps. Written large on the building is "All animals deserve to be free and happy" and "no animals terrorized." You can tell that they didn't just decide to cash in on veganism like so many other plant based businesses who are afraid to put any animal related referencing. 10% of proceeds go to various charities (you can find the list on their website).

Hangry Planet is a decent size with plenty of snacks and toiletries to choose from. Not only do they bring in various vegan brands, but they bring in a wide range of flavors and options within the brands. There's even a Bitcoin ATM, Icee machine, and "Immersive" car wash experience if you need any of that. The immersive experience seemed to be broken when I tried it, but I'm curious to try again sometime.

Need more places like this!

This place is such a breath of fresh air!! I am so used to gas station marts being vegan unfriendly it took me a couple mins to actually digest that everything around was all-vegan! I love the absolute “unapologetic vegan” vibes of this place. Stickers, posters promoting activism and oh! Did I mention they serve a mean oatly soft serve?!

Pros: All vegan, Open 24 * 7

Read about this place and couldn’t wait to visit

Loved the vegan snacks and the soft serve! Also loved the vegan exposure for all the neighborhood folks thinking they are going to buy the usual convenience store items and coming out with vegan snacks!

Vegan Junk Food Paradise

The best place to grab a snack after hours or on the go. Wide assortment of packaged snacks like chips, cookies, candy (all the typical gas station finds, but vegan), plus hot and ready items like calzones and mini pizzas, and fresh pastries (Donut Farm donuts, cupcakes, brownies). They also have a small section of grocery items such as plant milks, ice cream, vegan cheeses, etc, and a vegan beer and wine selection. And can’t forget the Oatly soft serve machine! Huge props for all of the vegan messages posted around this place too, it’s a gas station with a lot of regular foot traffic and not just a vegan destination, so it’s a bold choice and I applaud it.

Pros: Everything is vegan , Open late

So unique and fun!

5 stars for uniqueness.
Being here felt like my utopia where I just stop at any shell to fill up but everything is vegan and I don’t have to skip past all the yummy gas station food because it’s not vegan. I can’t tell you how cool it is to walk into a convenient store and know I can just pick up anything and not read the label. I haven’t been able to do that in 5 years and it felt oddly nostalgic and really cool!
This place really isn’t anything outside of a regular convenient store except the all vegan aspect so don’t expect some crazy vegan candy store going in.
Lots to look at and pick up and some local vegan goods offered as well.
They also have oatly soft serve!
This is a fun stop if you’re in the area and a glimpse into what a casual vegan world would look like. Love, love, love this!
