Schöne Terrasse am Wasser - Edit
Es gibt ein paar vegane Gerichte zur Auswahl. Wir hatten den Salat und das vegane Curry. Das Curry war okay, die Salatzutaten frisch, allerdings hätte ich mir ein raffinierteres Dressing gewünscht. Ich habe nachgesalzen, damit der Salat ein bisschen mehr Geschmack bekam.

Ruim opgezet restaurant voor lunch en diner aan de rand van Nieuwegein, met mooi uitzicht over de polder.

Maar vreemd genoeg..... geen plant-melk voor in de koffie! Ik kreeg te horen dat er te weinig vraag naar was. Anno 2022 kan ik me dat niet voorstellen, en in combinatie met dat ze er verder op hun kaart wel rekening mee houden vind ik het erg vreemd. Gemiste kans.

Er stond niet duidelijk op de kaart wat allemaal vegan was, maar na het nagevraagd te hebben konden de vega nacho's vegan gemaakt worden. En het was erg lekker!

Hajé is a beautifully located restaurant and store next to the highway. They offer seating space both inside and outside and the view is beautiful. The food itself is good, but rather lacking in terms of vegan representation. When me and my mother (also vegan) went, we were disappointed that they did not offer vegan mayonnaise or satay sauce for our vegan satay, and while the waitresses were polite and would double check for us, they seemed a little unenthused. The food was great otherwise, and the theme of the restaurant was very charming, but I honestly expected a little more.

Very nice place but the vegan options are limited. The waitress couldn't tell me which options on the menu were vegan or could be veganized (apart from the Dutch Weed Burger).

Beautifull place en good food - Edit
Beutifull place with old industrials items and a nice view at the meadows around it. There were a few vegan options on the menu or options that could be made vegan. The staff is friendly. The serve large portions. I had a yellow beet carpaccio and a Weedburger.

Went here for lunch and tried the weed burger for the first time (was nominated for a vegan award) and was really surprised about how tasty it was.
