Lovely food in beautiful courtyard - Edit
The setting was so beautiful in a candlelit courtyard. A few vegan options for tapas with most of the menu being vegetarian (aside from a couple of fish dishes). Food delivered quickly too. Would definitely go back again

Was closed - Edit
When I came, the seller said, that was the last day of their work, and there was nothing vegan available to order. I don't know, if it was the last working day in this season, or the last at all

best hummus of my life - Edit
We had the grilled brocoli&carrots (really good) and the hummus. The hummus was to DIE FOR. A few sitting places under an arch, nice little place. But I would definitely come back just for that hummus

Laid back place & slow food - Edit
Cute little restaurant set under an arch.
Read moreWe ordered four different dishes, the Balkan Shakshuka was great the remaining three (hummus, grilled veg, dolma) were good. Although, dishes were a bit bland and could have been improved with some spices. We enjoyed that we could eat light and healthy, things were freshly prepared (takes some time).
There are 3 tables outside under an arch which was a nice atmosphere, although it might be diffcult to get a table in high season.
The place is cash only and the closest ATM charges a 5EUR withdrawal fee so make sure to bing cash.

Delicious mediterranean food - Edit
Went in September 2019. I think they have re-vamped their menu and/or changed hands since some prior reviews, as the menu I saw was quite different from other reviews, along with the branding and (I suspect) quality of the food.
Read moreMost things are vegetarian -- a couple of things with mussels. A handful of vegan options which were all very tasty. (My boyfriend is non-veg and comes from a family of excellent Middle Eastern chefs and agreed it was excellent.) Delicious hummus, vegan shakshoukah (which, to be fair, was more a pepper/eggplant salad than shakshoukah but nonetheless tasty), and carrots & broccoli. They also offered lentil soup and some vegan salads. All the sandwiches (panini, really) had cheese / non-vegan pesto so I passed on them but the bf had one and said it was excellent.
It's quite small -- only 2-3 tables inside. It's in the side of a stone archway in the old town here's one small outside table in the archway that I would try to snag.
Also had good wine.

Is ok - Edit
The first time I went there the guy told me everything on the menu is vegan. The second time I asked the girl what the cheese is made of and she looked at me confused and said it's normal cheese...

Worst of vegan - Edit
Staying in Budva, we were excited to try this small restaurant that offered almost exclusively vegan options. Unfortunately we left disappointed. I ordered a falafel plate and got served lousy hummus with a few slices of bread and a weird salad with pickle, olives and vegetables. My boyfriend got a tiny, dry burger. Everything cost way more than the general price level in other restaurants in Budva. The staff was very poor with English and couldn't understand the difference between a falafel and hummus. Unfortunately the only vegan restaurant in Budva remains the worst restaurant we've visited so far in Montenegro.

Cons: Expensive compared to the food, Staff bad at English, Very small place with barely any seating options

Tasty Wraps - Edit
A lovely small shop with a tasty selection of vegan wraps at reasonable price. All made in front of you from start to finish including the wraps. Does vegan herbal cheese which is delicious. Fantastic location in a town with limited vegan food options around.
Read moreWas not clear whether some options on the menu were not vegan as it listed cheese and also seafood hummus. I did not check so can't be sure. Ask to be sure.
Pros: Handmade, Several vegan options, Lovely location and staff
Cons: Can take a while for larger orders, Menu lacks detailed ingredient list, Tricky to find first time as in Budva Old Town

I've ate in Smsom a wide variety of their offer. It's important to note that the place is vegetarian and vegan!
Read moreMost of the food (including some deserts) are served with pita bread made on the spot.
It's very pleasant to discover a vegan place in Montenegro which has yet evolved to have many places but... if you are looking for variety and imagination it is not the place.
Pros: mostly vegan, nice owners, prepared on the spot
Cons: small variety , not suitable for many people at once

Only vegan place in Budva - Edit
Visited this small caffe a few days ago and really enjoyed vegan wraps (they call them rolls). Happy to get a vegan place in Budva, very tasty and healthy. Reasonably pricedto say the least.May be hard to find though, right next to the big Shanghai restaurant (not vegan at all ;) in Old town. Just a few seats, so consider getting wraps to go.
Read moreSo, hope they will grow and expand and promote vegan lifestyle in Montenegro.
Pros: vegan, price, friendly stuff
Cons: little space ;)

Great wraps - Edit
This little restaurant offers some superb vegan and vegetarian food, packed with protein. I had a falafel wrap, it was a new take on falafel and the wrap bread is made on the spot. Best wrap bread I've ever had for sure! The girl behind the counter was very friendly, attentive and helpful. The wraps are not very big, so if you're hungry, grab two. It's also modest in price. I'm very happy to have found this place and will visit again.
