No longer does vegan options

The waiter was friendly but explained that they have veggie options but nothing vegan. As I was with a group of non vegans they made me potatoes and a side salad

Ok

There is no vegan option on the menu. You need to ask. I got a Porcini Risotto which was ok.

Good food

The interior is very traditional, the wait staff is dressed in the traditional Bulgarian gowns and the food of course is also on point.

Even though the menu is predominantly about meat and various cheeses (this is a traditional BG place after all) there are quite a few vegan options on there too.

I would highly recommend the purlenki, a type of flatbread, and the slow cooked beans, they were the absolute highlight.

If you're looking for a traditional Bulgarian meal sans animal products, these are your best bet.

Kyopoolu (a roasted eggplant-peppers mix) and the roasted peppers with garlic and dill are also an excellent choice if you're looking for an appetizer.

All in all, I would say give this place a go as it really captures the folkloric vibe and the food is affordable and tasty.
