Pleasant experience, but nothing special

The venue is quite nice, and feels fairly recently refurbished. Has quite a fun modern vibe to it. The staff were friendly, and understood what vegan meant. We struggled to find an up to date menu online, so were a bit nervous about going. Fortunately they had clearly marked vegetarian items as (v) and vegan items as (ve) on the menu. There was also a note at the top of the menu that dairy free/vegan cheese was available. So that was very reassuring. The vegan items mainly consisted of pizza or pasta. We had pizzas which were tasty and had plenty of veg on (some places these days put hardly any toppings on vegan pizzas which is annoying).

Chef also popped out a bit later to check if we were happy if the food, and also to apologise that the food took a little longer than usual (we didn't particularly notice) because they wanted to make sure to avoid any cross contamination, which we thought was a very nice touch and it is very reassuring to know they take different dietary requirements seriously (also noticed they offered gluten free pizzas).

We had a good time and what we had was nice food, but it was by no means mind blowing. There wasn't really anything particularly special or original. There were several vegan options though, which is good, especially as some places there's often just only one option as an afterthought. There aren't any vegan restaurants in the area, so this is a pretty decent option if you are local.

Cons: Would benefit from something more original, Didn't see vegan desserts
