A vegan Japanese café serving macrobiotic food. The dine-in space is small (about 10 people). A daily-changing bowl and makis, plus cheesecake, puddings & cookies for desserts. (Please note that although all the food is vegan they sell bonito flakes in the small grocery corner.) Open Tue-Sat 11:30-15:00, Thu-Sat 17:00-19:00. Closed Sun & Mon.

Une pépite ! - Edit

Healthy and delicious japanese food - Edit
Cute japanese café, serving a bowl, changing daily, makis and desserts : cheesecake and pudding. Everything is homemade, including the seitan. The bowl has a very delicate taste and is very nourishing (I had difficulties finishing the big one, even with a big appetite)
Read moreThe dessert are excellent too, not too sweet and very light in texture but still very tasty
The woman who runs the restaurant is also very nice, which makes the whole experience perfect!
Pros: Homemade, healthy, nourishing , Light and tasty desserts, Good japanese tea

One of my latest favorite discoveries in Paris. I feel like I just found paradise - Edit
I loved this place from the moment I entered it. Now I’m still tripping about the experience. First of all, the lovely Japanese lady who greets you. Then the cute setting of this place, basic furniture, simple chairs, nothing fancy. Then their shelves full of Japanese products. And then the most interesting part: the FOOD! I took their small bento, all vegan of course, and went to the park right in front to eat it. It was a zen and peaceful experience. Their bento had seitan, tofu, vegetables, chickpeas, and the fluffiest rice I’ve ever had. Just go there and try it, seriously. I can’t believe I just discovered this hidden gem.

Homemade Japanese Food - Edit
The place is cozy and sells groceries as well. I ordered makis and sesame crackers and ate them in the park across the street because eating on premises would have cost more. The food was delicious and especially the home-made soy sauce was thick and very tasty. Would recommend trying other things, but because of the cost, only as take-away

Healthy homemade macrobiotic food - Edit
Ginga is a small Japanese café (seats about 10 people) with a very simple menu: a bowl of the day, a tofu maki, and a few desserts.
Read moreThe food is certainly macrobiotic-inspired, so you find brown rice, cooked vegetables, pickles and tofu, among other things (it really depends on the day).
As desserts you can get a cheesecake, a black sesame or a millet pudding, or cookies.
The bowl was rather healthy (very mild taste, not too much seasoning) and the desserts were also not so sweet (which was good for me). You can also choose between a mid-size and a large-size bowl (for me, the large-size one corresponded to a "normal" size for a lunch meal).
And, prices are different if you take out or if you eat-in (the latter is about a couple of euros more expensive).
Considering that -it seems- the place is run by just one person, it's quite impressive.
Note that there is also a small grocery corner selling many Japanese staple foods but unfortunately they also sell bonito flakes. But rest assured that all the food and desserts are vegan.
All-in-all, if you are looking for a healthy homemade macrobiotic lunch (they open between 5pm and 7pm but it's only for the grocery corner and take-out), look no further!
Pros: healthy, grocery store, friendly staff
Cons: sells bonito flakes in the grocery corner
