Lovely café - Edit
Lovely café in centre of St John's. Close to bus stops. Situated in former inn which has been added to with a bright extension to the rear and side.
Read moreThe main meals weren't marked as to whether they were vegan. There was a possibility of a vegan chilli (shown as vegetarian on the menu) or jacket potato with humus, plus various interesting salads. Staff were on the ball and asked if I wanted vegan margarine with the potato.
Vegan cakes were marked – I had a very nice chocolate cake.
All the food was good, with decent size helpings.
Pros: Vegan options, Good food, Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff
Cons: Not all vegan possibilities are marked, Vegan options limited, Not open in the evening

Delicious, freshly made and healthy food. Staff kind and friendly.
Read moreWe were walking from Douglas to Peel along the Steam Heritage trail and this is just a few yards off the path at St Johns. There is also a beautiful Arboretum opposite worth a stroll around.
I have been a vegetarian for years and new to giving up dairy, so pleased with my salads. Wish I had know the "Red dragon pie" was vegan, perhaps mark on the menu board. With thanks and will be back.
