I would give 5 stars if I could, the manager was so incredibly friendly. Sad to hear their business took a hit after Covid. So many amazing options. I had the best quinoa bowl ever, so sad I don’t live nearby (just traveling through). I highly recommend going here!

Super cute counter service cafe - Edit
Cafe itself is nothing special but our salads, soup and sandwiches were excellent and prepared fresh. Lots of options to customize your order and very friendly staff. I got the Vegan Delight bowl and it was great! We stopped by because it was easy access from the highway and it didn’t disappoint - nice local spot near the university.

Great local atmosphere with plenty of fresh local produce and micro brews. Kombucha on tap! Definitely worth a side trip to see.

My family was coming from Luray, VA, and this place was conveniently located off the highway. There's a sign on the highway.
Read moreMy other vegan family member and I both got the pick 2 option, with the Napa Veggie sandwich on whole grain bread with no dressing and the Vegan Delight salad (I got mine with a little raspberry dressing). I thought the food was very fresh and reasonably priced. It was a bit of a small portion for me and I would get a whole sandwich and a salad next time. I would definitely go back.
Staff member was really friendly and accommodating. He said any menu item can be veganized.
Pros: Friendly staff, Fresh food, Reasonable prices
Cons: Not enough staff - only one person working

This place is super cute. They have locally grown food and vegan options. I got the veggie sandwich (which comes with a whole avocado!) on local sour dough with oil and vinegar and habanero chips. It was quick and easy.

Easy access from highway. Fresh options, several vegetarian (VE) can be modified to be vegan (V). A couple clearly marked vegan menu items.

Delicious and varied vegan options right off 81 - Edit
I got the quinoa bowl with black beans, avocado, roasted red peppers, corn, and I added tofu for 50cents. I also shared the Tuscan soup and had a vegan, GF strawberry muffin that was heaven in my mouth. This place uses mostly or all local ingredients and orders from locals so it's a great place to support local growers and bakers. There are multiple other vegan options too, I had a hard to choosing. Staff was super friendly. I'd make.it a point to make this a regular stop on any trip by Harrisonburg.

The veggie sandwich was really good. The bread is freshly made. Vegan and vegetarian options are clearly labeled. They have fresh kombucha. A lot of the food is locally grown. The beer selection looked pretty good too.
