CLOSED: Pretty, but decreasing quality - Edit
They changed the rainbow sourdough to a different bread and at first I though it was to make it more seasonal or regional, but actually they put raw (or max steamed) zucchini (in winter) and the layer of spread is now really thin. So what used to be a big salad on crispy bread is now a quite bland bread, still for 12€...

We had the rainbow sourdough and the green goddess salad and both were a quite filling, tasty and healthy lunch option. The poppyseed cake I tried on a different occasion was also delicious and moist. They have more dry cakes (Kuchen) than creamy ones (Torten), which I personally prefer.
Especially the indoor seating can get quite crowded on the weekends. Outdoor seating is nice aswell, but without sun in the afternoons.

Nice café for breakfast - Edit
Had the cheese sandwich and a croissant. Was very delcicious and more than enough to be fully sated. They have only three different choices for breakfast but many cakes or muffins. Stuff was so friendly and loved the atmosphere. Price is okay. I would definitely come again.

Everyone raves about Greenfinch's pancakes - and they were good! But nothing out of this world, I thought they had actually too much syrup. The grilled cheese was good, but again I wasn't blown away. But the salad dressing!! Addicting.

We ordered the pancakes with syrup on the side (great tip from another reviewer!). At first they seemed nice but then I noticed the slight baking soda flavor another reviewer had mentioned. In the end, the pancakes were alright but nothing special. I've had better pancakes for a better price (and 12 euros really is a lot for this meal).
Lots of fresh fruit. Sweetened apple sauce (too sweet for me) that the wasps were loving.
I had a look at the cakes inside but unfortunately nothing stood out.
I was hungry way sooner than I would have liked.
Pros: good service, nice atmosphere, herbal tea in pots
Cons: too expensive for mediocre quality, not very filling, not a lot of breakfast choices

Wir waren mit Freund*innen mit Kind da, was gut klappte, und hatten insgesamt das hausgemachte Müsli, die Hummusplatte, die Pancakes, den Toast, was alles besonders gut war, und das Müsli tatsächlich süß, aber nicht zu süß! Hatten auch Kuchen, der gut, aber zu mächtig war, da würden wir empfehlen, sich ein Stück zu teilen. Wir waren am Sonntag pünktlich da, als sie mirgens aufgemacht haben, und es gab schon eine Schlange, also nicht zu spät auftauchen.

Unfortunately I didn‘t see the remark that the kitchen doesn‘t open til 10 am, so we came there at 9:30, expecting to be having breakfast soon after. The staff was very nice, informed us about the waiting time. We did wait about an hour for our food, by this time we were both really hungry already. The tuna melt sandwich, the pancakes and also the coffee and matcha latte were very good though and worth the wait.

Arguably the best vegan pancakes I’ve eaten. Fluffy, delicious and a decent serve. Coffee was great and the barista went above and beyond to meet my difficult coffee request. He even gave us a ginger shot while we were waiting for our food. You must check these guys out while In Berlin!

Despite them saying they open at 9 and not offering food until 10, they can not be faulted! The barista could tell we had come there especially and provided us with a great oat latte before a ginger shot. The pancakes came out and they were a great size with ample amounts of fruit and toppings! Would recommend 10/10!

Amazing interior, comfortable seating, most delicious food which looks like art to my eyes. I loved the flavours, the lunch meal, the lime tarte - wow! - a flat white: just perfect: strong, absolutely perfect temperature - just everything on point. I ll definitely will come back. A friend recommended Greenfinch to me - for many reasons. And try the ginger shot. I was so tired and it woke me up.

A nice place with some good vegan options. Pancakes were really nice and fluffy, slight taste of baking soda, but really good chocolate croissant and cookie. Pricer are more Amsterdam than Berlin, but nothing really crazy.

We came to this place expecting good things, considering the reviews on Happy Cow. They had only just opened when we arrived. Staff was friendly upon our arrival, but that is where the positive remarks come to an end, sadly.
Read moreWe took a seat, no menus on the table which is fine obviously. Once we wanted to join the queu, it took ages before it was our turn. Once it was our turn to order, the staff told us that the kitchen would not open before 10 a.m. It didn't show anywhere, so we were disappointed. We think they could have told us this when we arrived, would have been much more customer friendly. Eventually we decided to leave as it took way to long to order anything and we specifically came here to have breakfast, which was not (yet) possible.
Apart from us, at least 6 other guests had left in the meantime without ordering anything because of the waiting time and the fact that there was no communication at all on behalf of the staff. They didn't seem to mind that customers just left without having a drink and/or food. All in all, not a good experience for us.
Cons: Long waiting time and kitchen opens at 10 am. , No communication of the staff, No toilet

That's a shame you had a bad experience. They are usually very efficient and you missed out on great food. You write that there is no toilet but there is one (to the right of the kitchen) 😊 I wish you better luck next time
