Owners claiming bee pollen is vegan!

What is it with people who claim that bee pollen and honey is vegan? The owner sent me a rude message trying to justify why they have it on their menu, and that it is in fact, vegan. Okay then, you keep telling yourself that! But as reported on here, your restaurant is VEGETARIAN for this reason!

Cons: They have bee pollen on their menu , The owner is rude

Pastries to die for

Mocha Blondie Cake is excellent with a good cup of Joe with plant milk. You can’t go wrong with anything and very nice staff.
Decent parking too.

Fast lunch

I had the B…Special. It was pretty good, but I got it on sourdough and it was pretty soggy and falling apart. So maybe that’s why it’s normally served on ciabatta… I’d order something different next time, but would still go back. Cute place with a lot of tables. Nice people.

Great little cafe

Awesome place with mostly vegan options (the only non vegan ingredients I could see on the menu was bee pollen and honey) Staff are super friendly and sweet, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Also has a GREAT cake and sweets selection, and AMAZING vegan croissants.

Pros: Lots of vegan and GF options

Genuine, warm and welcoming cafe with tasty sandwich

I was in Los Angeles for CATS musical at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre so searching for a close by 100% plant-based or vegan restaurant. I found Green Table Cafe with many great reviews.

This place was very welcome and friendly. It felt genuine and not routine smiles with a routine “Welcome!”

I ordered the B….Special sandwich because it has everything that I love. It has eggplant, black olive, baby portobello
mushroom, avocado, cheese on garlic butter cubata bread. The bread was so light and the sandwich was tasty.

Their menu offers a great selection of smoothie, salad, sandwiches, and varieties of coffee drinks. I can’t wait to have the chance to return soon.

Get the Baked Goods + Paninis

Saw this on happycow some years back and have eaten here several times. Here's my Green Table Cafe review. It's a well-designed space with a comfortable neighborhood vibe. There are seats inside and out. Bakery treats and desserts are displayed in glass cases, and toward the back of the cafe another glass case shows a few of the savory options like cold/side salads and lasagna & quiche which are heated up for you when you order.

I've had a couple of the panini sandwiches, a few kinds of lasagna, and an assortment of the treats. Overall I liked the paninis and the baked goods (muffins, cookies, tarts). The lasagnas were a 'miss' (strange combinations). The price is typical for a healthier kind of cafe in this area.

Cons: smoky inside

Kimchi

I was always a sauerkraut fan, but now I love kimchi, that is their red kimchi. It comes with the paninis and you can buy a jar to take home.

Good restaurant

Cute vegetarian cafe, reasonably priced food. I love the Fill Me Up smoothie, desserts, muffins, bagel with cream cheese, and Super Glow Salad. I tried getting the bowls before, but both times they were way too sweet. The tuna salad was underwhelming. I hope they get rid of the bee pollen and become a vegan restaurant soon.

The cake is to die for...

OK so I can't give a complete review yet because I only had desert there. It is a very nice bright cafe that makes for a beautiful place to eat. I went in late and I think the kitchen was closing so I just had a piece of cake to go. I had already tried the cake a couple days before as a friend went and bought us 2 slices to share.. The chocolate cake was incredibly delicious and the moca cake was OMG to die for delicious. I have never had a cake so delicious. And not only is it vegan but it is gluten and soy free. It was so delicious I went in a couple days later and had to get another slice. Their menu looks great and I look forward to having a meal there.

Great vibe!

Love the vibe of this place. All the staff - top notch. True food love. Everything is vegan except bee pollen in some smoothies/bowls. They have sandwiches, salads, bowls, smoothies, lots of desserts. Great lunch and light dinner cafe with lots of people working on their laptops. Great vibe on Pico. Go for the Kale Quinoa Salad - it’s tops.

Pros: Excellent vegan vibe, Outdoor seating, That kale salad

Breakfast worth repeating

Had a great Acai bowl here for breakfast so went back the next day to have it again! Careful with a couple of their options cos they throw on bee pollen for some reason - I’m sure they could leave that out of their otherwise vegan breakfast bowls.

Pros: Great Acai bowl - fresh and fruity, Nice atmosphere in the cafe , Good prices

Cons: Watch for odd non vegan ingredients

Quality vegan food

I HAD to try pasta night (wednesdays) before I stop working in the pico area next week...I got ravioli filled with vegan cream cheese and spinach and colored with spirulina. I paired it with the four cheese sauce because, really, when do you find a nondairy four cheese sauce?? It’s in a to-go container because I wasn’t hungry but as I left the restaurant, I realized it was a paper container and the sauce will make it gross. Guess I had to eat it right then-oh well 😉. The cheese sauce is good, bit salty for me, but the ravioli with housemade pasta is AMAZING. Only complaint is that 2/8 were devoid of filling-not terrible ratio but for $13, I’d like them all to be complete 😊. Overall, I’d def recommend going on pasta night-so good.

Last week, I went in for the first time. It's incredible-you can tell by how busy it is during lunchtime. I got a B Loved tofu scramble, which is plated so nicely (with a random dollop of ketchup lol). The desserts....omg look at them!! Ridiculously good-looking, to quote Zoolander. I got a brownie and a chocolate-covered date. I found the brownie a bit dry unfortunately; a customer told me it can be hit or miss. I wouldn't mind coming back to try the cookie dough balls or chocolate truffles though.
The prices are higher than I'd like but it fits with their organic/healthy/hipster/la vibe. I recommend it for vegans and non-vegans alike.

Pros: Quality vegan food, Friendly employees, Fresh made pasta on wednesday nites

Cons: Parking can be hard, Pricy

This place is great!

Very cute place. We all loved all the items we got. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Three different soups, the two I tried were delicious. Lots of yummy looking desserts though we didn't try them this time. They have a case with take home items available which is nice. Pesto, tomato sauce, mock tuna salad, almond butter, cream cheese, plus yogurt parfaits.

Pros: Good food, atmosphere, and service

Cons: Small with limited seating, hard to walk around

Great Restaurant in a Small Neighborhood

Green Table Cafe is a perfect little cafe in an area that has greatly benefited from it's arrival. They have an amazing menu of all vegan food including many gluten free options. All the food is organic and very clean tasting, little to no oil and salt. The staff is always really kind and helpful when making an order, as well as a very welcoming environment. You can tell that the owners have put in a lot of effort to make this restaurant as a great as it is. Green Table Cafe has brought in many people from outside the neighborhood that would otherwise have no reason to come. It has given the neighborhood a taste of veganism for those who have never tried this lifestyle.

Pros: Great healthy food, Welcoming vibe, Friendly staff

Lots of yummy options

Fully plant-based cafe with a wide range of menu options. I had the “better than tuna salad” which was light but pretty good, could have used a little vinaigrette or something. Pretty pricey for the amount of food. Two other friends got smoothie bowls and loved them. Another friend got the avocado toast. The best thing I tried was the bruschetta toast with a plant based creamy cheese and pesto! So yummy.
