Food is amazing. - Edit
Great food, lots of parking, quick service. Although it's a little pricey, financial sacrifices can be made to justify the cost - it's delicious. I get very excited when I'm about to eat here, whilst I'm eating here, and at the fact I just ate there.
Read morePros: Delicious food, Easy parking and access, Staff are kind and well catering.
Cons: You'd best book, they can fill up. , A little on the pricey side.

Loved my lunch - Edit
Came for yum cha on weekends a lot now
Read moreI am a huge fan of dumplings and ordered two different ones: mushroom corn and pandan spinach and some prawn
Would always order the pandan spinach & prawn again!
corn was good as well would rather have only mushroom though
Had their Szechuan chicken and it was legit - such a good chicken, great spices and nice and spicy
Bean curd rolls good, bbq steamed buns a bit flavourless
Ham Sui Gok 10/10!
Siew Mai 10/10
Rice paper prawn rolls with Sesame very good
Prawn toast
Radish cake
Money bags with shrimp filling
Dessert was a sesame filled bun- unfortunately Mochi was sold out
I wouldn’t order it again simply because I don’t like deep fried dessert so much and didn’t know ahead - great flavour though and nicely filled- generous filling
Perfect lunch - will come again for sure
You get 10% off when paying cash over 50$

Best vegan Chinese food in Sydney - Edit
Green Sprouts is firmly in my top 10 restaurants. They serve a wide array of delicious dishes with incredible flavours such as the BBQ Char Siew, Sizzling Mongolian Beef and Honey Prawns. Their awesome Yum Cha menu fills the void left by Bodhi (which sadly closed in recent years).

Yum cha was amazing (but adds up! 🤑) - Edit
Came with Sydney vegan social. Got to try tons of dishes! Ended up being $44 per person which is quite a bit for a lunch but feels on par with vegan set menu offerings at other establishments. Very tasty and very filling!

My go to vegan yumcha place - Edit
Green Sprouts is my goto yumcha place in Sydney which I recommend to my friends. The yumcha dishes are very filling so you don’t need to eat much. I can never leave my visit here without eating their delicious mango pancakes!! The banana is spectacular and their mocktails are refreshing.
Read moreThe best way to get here is by catching the B1 from Wynyard station and it’ll drop you off right in front of the shopping complex Green Sprouts is in - you can’t miss it!
If you haven’t made a booking, you’ll find seats at around 9-10am. It will get busily packed at around 12-1pm and you may have to wait for a seat.

Great modern Asian vegetarian restaurant with vegan options - Edit
Revisit update from first visit in 2020. This is still a good restaurant and as per below plenty of seating, including a balcony area that is nice on good weather. Great choices.
Read moreGF note, when we ordered our food GF, without asking or mentioning, the soy sauce on the table was swapped out to a GF version.
This is a relatively new restaurant with I believe the ex-head chef from Bodhi and advice/assistance from the Green Gourmet chain so what a powerhouse combination.
Large restaurant, good location, good parking options with Woolworths and council car park outside. Very friendly and attentive staff that are keen to ensure you have a great meal and experience. Indoor and pseudo outdoor seating on the balcony.
Very good food, and impressive range and it all tasted fantastic, we will definitely be using this as a regular haunt. Good for non-vegans as well because of the authenticity of the food and the faux style ingredients if that is what you are into.
Some funky touches add a bit of wow with tea light candle heated teapots and funky hanging tray arrangement for the Peking Duck(faux) pancakes serving dish.

Pros: Nice modern decor with plenty of seating, Can host large groups due to the size, Great food
Cons: Might have to pay for parking, It is noticeably oily/greasy for us being no oil

Among the best Asian vegan-vegetarian in Sydney - Edit
A warmer greeting you will not receive even at home. This bright and serene restaurant is around back on the second floor of a mall and is an oasis. It has one of the most extensive vegan Chinese menus I have seen - with old, traditional favorites and some regional surprises. The vegetables are bright and fresh; the dishes cooked to perfection. The hot and sour soup was rich but not oily; the Peking duck is a marvelous and evocative surprise; beef and broccoli excellent. Every dish that passed by me for the next table was a temptation.

Superb yum cha - Edit
If you loved the yum cha at Bodhi (sadly now closed) you’ll love it here too - they “inherited” the chef from there during Covid.
Read moreThe yum cha menu is extensive and impressive - the flavours probably not quite as good as Bodhi used to be, but definitely (in my experience) the best vegan yum cha currently available anywhere in Australia.
They were very quiet the day we went so they didn’t have too many dishes pre-made, and we had to order most items from the menu, but please go and eat there so they don’t have that issue in future!

My number 1 go to Vegan restaurant - Edit
The Green Sprouts venue is on the B1 bus route from Wynyard which practically delivers you to the door of this fabulous Vegan restaurant at Neutral Bay. Coming from The Northern Beaches, it is just a matter of crossing the road and walking up a little from the B1 bus going into the city. The Service is 10/10 with friendly staff with well priced dishes and so many to choose from! I often come to this restaurant with my friends for a delicious banquet.
Read moreThere is no way that you could tell that all food here is vegan unless you were told. Cruelty free dining is the way of the future and allows so many of us to be on the right side of history.
Those who wish to impress with vegan food should take their family and friends here to open their eyes and palates to what is possible with plant based cuisine.
Pros: Fabulous atmosphere , Wonderful decor, Easy to get to

Amazing! - Edit
They were able to squeeze us in on a holiday with no reservation. Kind staff, amazing food, and an experience I have never had as a vegan! They come around with carts of food and we can choose a plate (or many) based on looks. It’s instant gratification and super fun! Everything we ate was delish. I highly recommend this place.
