Martin said he makes the best vegan burgers of all time. I thought the burger I had at Trocadero in Barcelona couldn't be topped. I was wrong! I wish I lived in San Diego. It was so good I had to review it while we were still in the restaurant!!

Delicious Vegan Food in La Jolla - Edit
As a long time vegan, I came upon this new restaurant. Indeed, La Jolla could benefit from having a good solid vegan restaurant, and Green Door Cafe delivers on this promise. The owner Martin has a long history of catering, sources locally from Suzie's Farm among others, and clearly has the making of fine tasting food as his passion.
Read moreI enjoyed the Vegan 'Comfort' Plate today. It was a satisfying, filling meal. The vegan sausage was wonderful. Any new vegans will appreciate the straightforward dishes, and those with discriminating palates will appreciate the subtlety of the ingredients. We will return here for sure.
The restaurant is super clean, has a cafe feel to it, great music ranging from classical to Pink Floyd, and the ever presence of Martin lights up the cafe.
