Serves meat, vegan options available. Only 4 vegetarian mains/tapas on the menu and only two are vegan. NOTE: Nov 2016 reported not especially vegan-friendly; please send updates. Open Tue-Thu 16:00-22:00, Fri-Sat 12:00-22:00, Sun 12:00-21:30.
Closed Mon.
The menu clearly marks which foods contain dairy and which of the dishes are vegetarian so it's easy to decipher what's vegan! The staff were attentive and happy to answer any questions. The food itself was incredible. I had the aloo tikki and chana masala and both were delicious; spicy, filling and both generous portions. I'll definitely be returning!
Went here recently for a birthday dinner. There haven't been many reviews on here recently so I'm happy to update and say that we had a terrific experience.
There isn't a separate vegan menu, but all of the waiting staff were well-clued up on our requirements and were happy to advise us on what dishes were suitable, and even checked with the chefs after they took our order to put our minds at rest.
There's a great vegetarian section on the menu which clearly indicates the inclusion of any dairy, and the staff were happy to confirm which dishes were suitable for vegans.
I had the vegetable pakora starter, and the Aloo Gobhi from the vegetarian menu, and it was all delicious (I took home leftovers).
They also made a separate naan bread for us without any butter.
Would be nice to see 'vegan' options highlighted on the menu, but overall we would recommend.
I went here this week (Jul-12) believeing it to be good for vegans. The management has changed, there is no vegan menu and there were only 4 vegetarian main/tapas choices of which only two rather uninspiring vegan options. I would not single it out from any other Indian restaurants in Glasgow for being vegan friendly and would not recommend for vegans.
