Jay Shop - Edit
So different from the main. Not the fake, pork, chicken etc. type of place. Just thai/chinese stuff that happens to be vegan. No English menu, although learn english app audible when i walked in, just look at the stuff on display and point. Hey presto! Asked for some spring rolls and the assistant gave them for free.

Cons: No English menu but no problem really. See above.

Made to Order and Season to Your Liking - Edit
Cold dishes at the buffets not for you but still on a budget? Afraid of the weird vegetables and spiciness of other places? This is a safe, cheap, and conveniently located option to get your dishes made fresh and add whatever seasonings you like to them. I usually get the pad Thai lately and my veggies elsewhere since I've tried everything on the menu and find the veggies at the buffets more varied and exciting. But a Westerner who finds the pre-made curries and other dishes at the buffets scary for taste and digestion (or just doesn't like their stir-fries and curries cold) should definitely stick to this place for safety. New arrivals should also start here and work their way out to more adventurous cuisines. The owner is very friendly and speaks great English. A nice place to chat with the locals who frequent it. Be sure to pick up tasty carrot and black sesame cookies as well as fried seaweed snacks.

Food is ok + cheap - Edit
I ordered one of the fried noodle dishes. I didn’t realise the noodles were actually already deep fried so didn’t enjoy it as much. For me the food was a lot like Chinese, being in a thick gravy and felt a little bit greasy which i wasn’t a huge fan of. The portion of mock meat was also very small and I guess the dish itself was a modest portion.
Read moreStill, the owner was very nice and the dish had plenty of vegetables in it. Also, it’s very reasonably priced at 35THB for a dish.
Pros: Cheap, Filtered water dispenser
Cons: Not overly flavoursome

Cheap and cheerful! - Edit
My boyfriend and I initially ordered the Pad Thai and rice with 'pork'. The rice dish was a bit on the small side so we also ordered noodles with soy sauce. The soy sauce noodles were the best dish but all were decent. Can't go wrong for 35 baht each. We grabbed a bag of fried seaweed and carrot cookies on the way out for 10 baht per packet but haven't tried them yet. Another bonus is that there's free water!

Super cheap - Edit
The food here was super cheap and with delicious flavours, although not particularly spicy. I didn’t really enjoy some of the mock meats, but there were way more vegetables in each dish than usual for these types of cheap buffet restaurant!

The food here was really nice and super cheap! 35 baht for a dish which is decent portion sized. The water is also free which is a bonus, there’s WiFi and the lady who works there is really friendly. Can’t complain at that price!

Excellent and inexpensive! - Edit
The pad thai was one of the better I've had. The coconut cookies were also very good. We bought a bunch to go. It was well worth the 18 minute drive from the white temple.

The best khao soi ever! - Edit
Firstly, thank you happy cow for helping me locate this restaurant. It is cheap, very friendly lady cooking the food there. She doesn't speak much English, but her daughter does. She had judt baked some vegan black sesame cookies, and they were a real treat after the most delicious khao soi.. The place is also very clean and have a good vibe.

Beautiful authentic Jai - Edit
Several options of traditional Thai style dishes made jai (vegan) with imitation meats, served from behind glass counter. Similar style to other jai restaurants in Thai but the taste is among the best.

Good and cheap vegan Thai food - Edit
We had a dish of rice with 3 different veggie sides (curry, greens, tofu and vegetables), all vegan. It was all very tasty and only costed 40 baht per dish. Nice ambient and friendly, English speaking, staff. Would definitely go back to eat there
