Chain food flavors - Edit
From what I had read and heard I had conjured up a made from scratch, fresh food experience, local restaurant vibe. For us, it was more of a chain food experience. We ordered the Wasabi bowl and Mega Vega Chili, to go.
Read moreThe wasabi dressing was on the sweet side. I was hoping for a bit of a spicy kick from wasabi. Happy the broccoli was not over cooked and had crunch!
The “chili” has elbow pasta and zucchini, which reminds me of a minestrone. If they replace the “chili” spice mix to Italian, they could have both options. IMO, lol!

We had a hard time deciding what to order here as there are so many vegan choices. Our waiter was very good at answering our questions. The food we ordered was very good - we hope to return to the restaurant when we’re back in the area.

Tell them you’re vegan! - Edit
My partner and I are both vegan & we come here any time we visit Sparks - we have visited both locations in town a number of times but have never left a review. We come here because we are both vegan, but our family is not. Our family loves the food and we do to, when they get it right.
Read moreThat being said, this is a warning to vegans. If you are ordering something vegan, tell them that you are vegan - they get a lot of omni-guests that wouldn't bat an eye at getting served something that isn't vegan.
Also, please, check with your waiter to make sure everything is vegan after it is served. We have been served components of our meals that are not vegan. Every time it has been something small, eg the side Parmesan cheese not vegan, the bread was prepared with real butter. Though it may seem small, something like this leaves you questioning the integrity of your whole meal. It's not a great feeling.
The ambiance is nice, local art for sale gives it a nice touch.. it is a fast paced restaurant and can feel a little chaotic at times when it gets busy.
All that being said, we keep coming back hoping to be wowed, but just aren't. It's one of the few places with vegan options in town & feel like we owe our support... but also don't really have a choice.

Good Veggie Sandwiches - Edit
We ordered the Grilled Portobello Deluxe ($14.50) since it came loaded with mushrooms, avocado, pea shoots, vegan cheese, and grilled onions. They also offered a different vegan friendly spread for us instead of their garlic aioli. We got it with a side of their quinoa salad which was refreshing and tangy. Loved this burger overall and would definitely get it again since it was packed with so many greens.
Read moreOur other dish was the Jackfruit BBQ Sandwich ($13) which was shredded jackfruit in a sweet and tangy sauce on a sourdough ciabatta. Oh, and there was also supposed to be a house slaw on the side to include, but unfortunately that never came. As we were eating the jackfruit, we felt like something was missing from the dish. We didn't realize we never got any slaw and thought... welp, we just finished the sandwich so we can't just ask for it now.
Make sure you get everything you're supposed to before finishing your meal!

Val was the best server we’ve had and Tom is an Incredibredible general manager!! Val knew exactly what to share with us and what we needed for my dietary needs!! Amazing flavors and texture! They cook everything perfectly and all the baked goods are delicious!

I got the roasted veggie tacos with beans and rice and it was so good. My boyfriend got the stuffed mushrooms and said it was the best he’s ever had. They had so many vegan options it was hard to choose. Highly recommended
