Amazing Takeout - Edit
Ordered from Uber eats and was surprised how well the fries and onion rings kept. The garlic Parmesan fries are to die for! Had the faux chicken (Nashville hot) and pork (Vic rib) and was so delicious.

Ehhh - Edit
I was honestly a little sad that there was no physical place to eat. The food was really good, but they use styrofoam and plastic packaging, and it was raining when we went so we had to eat in the car. I wish they had a physical place to eat. If you’re just going for takeout though, the food itself was very tasty for vegan junk food.

I waited 45 minutes past the time they opened for whatever unknown reason because no one was there and no notification online. Then once I got my food and hour later despite me being the only person there it was somehow cold. It was also just texturally not there for me. Don't recommend.

Not a restaurant - Edit
This is not a restaurant. It is a third party delivery food provider only. You can not walk up and order like the description says, since they don’t want to pay to be listed on the kiosk. Complete waste of time and Uber ride. Don’t waste your time.

Good food - Edit
Located in Oak Street Eats which is a pick up hub for a few restaurants. No seating or anything, just pick up your food and go which makes sense this day in age.
Read moreWhen you go in, make sure to have your order confirmation on your phone ready. I gave the guy my name but he still asked for proof that it's my order, which I don't ever run into at other restaurants. I'm not mad at him or anything for it. I get it. They likely deal with people trying to steal/scamming and such. Just felt kinda weird. Also they give you your order through a locker which I've never dealt with either, but can understand the reasoning behind it. Safety is important.
Anyways.....the food! Honestly pretty good! I got the smoked chicken sandwich with white vbq sauce, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and beans. The sandwich was really good. I like the mustard sauce they put on it. The Mac and cheese was a good texture, not too soft, though a but salty. The greens were surprisingly good! Many places make greens too salty especially if it's meat free but this place seasoned it well imo. My mom thought it was salty though. I didn't really like the beans. I was expecting more of a thick brown sugar baked bean BBQ thing. Like you would get from that one canned bean brand or at a traditional BBQ place. It was ok. Just beans with a lighter BBQ? sauce. Mainly just tasted the beans which weren't bad, just beans.
I wish they also served more desert options, like a banana pudding or something. Slap a $7 price tag on that sh*t and I'll still give it a try. Banana pudding sounds so good right now.
Overall pretty good food! I would try them again to try their other options.

Pros: Many options, Fun food to try

Would give 1 star if I could - Edit
I would be wary of using this company for any events, especially weddings. This company is owned by Terry Sargent who has taken a ton of people's money and ran with it during one of the most important days of their lives. Look up the reviews of Cussion Catering and some of the dirty ways they have treated their past customers. Many 1 star reviews due to not keeping their promise, including my wedding where they had a contractual obligation to stay for 7 hours but only stayed for 3 and took all the dishes and drinks from my guests during the reception. He then refused all my calls and closed his business without any apologies or anything. If any one is wanting to see any documentation of this I am more than happy to share.

Best Vegan BBQ in ATL! - Edit
We made the two hour pilgrimage to Grass VBQ Joint and yet again were happily surprised with delicious vegan fare that exceeded our expectations! We ordered the Weekend Special, Smoked Veef™ Brisket Philly. Pro Tip: load it up with the extras! Slaw, Sautéed Mushrooms, Onions and Bell Peppers! You will thank me!
Read moreWe also ordered a mess of Gluten Free VBQ Smoked Wingz (with your choice of sauce: Vidalia BBQ, Buffalo, Hot Lemon Pepper, Lemon Pepper, Hot Honey, Garlic, Creole, Jerk, Nashville Hot) served with farm house ranch. We added huge shareable sides of Southern Style Greens, Smoked Mac & Cheeze and Bourbon Baked Beans! Oh man was it good!!
Grass VBQ is online orders for takeout only (order on https://grassvbqjoint.square.site/) so we found some wonderful picnic tables in Stone Mountain Park and devoured our feast!
If you live less than 4 hours from ATL, you gotta find your way here! Thanks again Chef Terry for making our trip to ATL a delicious success!!
Congrats again on your Eater Awards - Best New Vegan Restaurant in ATL!!

Good BBQ - Edit
The staff was nice and food was good. I realized no dine in and I needed to order online. I like the smoked flavor of the Mac and Cheese, and my husband, a non-vegan, liked the Nashville Chicken sandwich. The banana pudding was legit!

The Nashville Chicken sandwich is pretty good and the Lobster Roll was decent. Didn't like any of the sides. Worth checking out for the Nashville Chicken. Make sure to call before going! I showed up more than once and they were closed/closing despite the hours listed saying they were open.

We tried the Titustown and thought it was very good, and the side of mac and cheese was delicious, but the best thing we had were the wings! My non-veg grandfather also had a Titustown and some of the wings and he was raving about how good it was to everyone he knows

We got Nashville hot chicken and BLT. Tasty, seasoning on fries was good. But not great for takeout as it was greasy and soggy by the time I got home. Maybe I'm nitpicking but Styrofoam containers aren't food or earth friendly.

Pricey and Not Remarkable - Edit
My husband and I picked up a late lunch. For a sandwich (da clucker) and chips for me and the two meat and two side sampler for my husband, it was just shy of $50. We expect vegan food to be a bit more, so it wasn't a huge deal. The mac and cheese was good and my husband's sausage was good, but everything else had an odd aftertaste and texture, and we eat a lot of vegan food, so we know how good things can taste. We drove an hour to get here, something we will not be doing again.

It was okay - Edit
Upon ordering online, I was told via text message that they were out of part of my order and had to wait two days to receive the refund. When arriving at the restaurant, the employees were rude. The food was good but very small servings for the price. The owner was nice when I called and asked about my refund. I don't know if I would return. Good for one person but not for a whole family.

Must try! - Edit
My roommates and I are vegan and we LOVE this place! The lobster roll and chicken sandwiches are so good! I tried the bbq wings and they were decent but the creole wings are where it’s at. I was hoping for a bit more food with the platter seeing as it’s $25, but the two meats that came with it were delicious. I would definitely stay away from the beans - they were mushy and flavorless. The Mac and cheese is pretty good, but a very small portion for the price. I would stick to the sandwiches! It’s nice that they have an outside area for people to sit. It’s definitely expensive for us college students, but we still keep coming back!

I had the pleasure to be in ATL for a week. I found Grass VBQ via Happy Cow App, Thank you Happy Cow. I tried the Blue Oyster Mush Poboy, Titustown, and Smoked Riib Sandwich, all three were DELICIOUS. I also have never had the "Veef" which is Australia's version of Beyond Meat. Veef were very good.
