Spiced Chickpea Stew! - Edit
We dined here on December 5, 2024. I had the spiced chickpea stew which was so delicious I would definitely go back to this restaurant just to have it again! It was fresh and flavorful and had a wonderful complexity to it. Grilled sourdough bread was a perfect crunchy accompaniment.
Read moreI would pass on the delicata squash side. It was rather tasteless and boring although it was presented beautifully.
The beet salad was delicious and I would order that again.

There’s like 2 or 3 vegan things on the menu. GLK salad was kinda boring and monotone. They used to have zero vegan options so some improvement, but clearly the “chef” is going thru the motions, likely hasn’t tried the salad they’re serving…

Handful of vegan options, cool vibe and location - Edit
A cool :spot, diner feel, 10 year old spot right at the lake with outdoor seating. The chopped salad was excellent, other options include. Stew and a sandwich plus sides like a Persian cucumber salad. The vibe is genuinely Oakland and prices are good too.
