Amazing! - Edit
I wanted to take my non-vegan latino parents out for dinner to introduce them to some plant-based dishes, and it was a complete success! All of the food was delicious and my initially-skeptical parents ended up clearing their plates😄

Cute spot - Edit
Cute place! The staff were really friendly. The food was a bit spicy, and there weren’t a lot of items with protein in them! But overall cute place, especially if you miss good Mexican food since you’ve gone veg😄

Overall okay... - Edit
The colifor frito (fried cauliflower) had an intense cauliflower taste (like when you bowl cauliflower, eat it, and get quite a bit of cauliflower juice in your mouth from biting a piece type of taste), and the cheese sauce also didn't have any flavor. I did enjoy my taco salad though (bowl uno), the homemade chorizo was spicy and delicious. Overall, I was expecting more from the reviews though.

Great vegan Mexican food - Edit
We love the food. It is all vegetarian & vegan, and there is great variety. Great service. From the outside, this restaurant in the Mission area seems like a hole in the wall, but it is a nice restaurant from inside. Parking in this area is challenging, on the street.

This place always feels special to me. The food is fabulous. I love the tacos 🌮, of kale and sweet potato. And mushrooms? Highly recommended. The atmosphere is fun, festive and the mariachis make it over the top delightful.

Wish I Could Try More! - Edit
This was such a healthy, filling, and flavorful vegan meal! I got the bowl uno which felt somewhat a little overpriced, but was delicious. Im not kidding, the food came out 3 minutes after I ordered, crazy! I had a tough time choosing what to eat on the menu and wish I could have gotten more, but I already blew through too much money this vacation 😅 highly recommend!

I love Gracias Madre!! - Edit
I came here years ago when I was vegetarian and not yet vegan. It was so good! It was places like this that helped me know I could go vegan! The crema blew me away! I just visited again a few days ago and it lived up to my memory of it! So good! I had the tacos and they were perfect. My only complaint would be that the mojito was a bit over sweet in my opinion.

Awesome Tacos - Edit
I tried the cauliflower, tacos, and chocolate cake, all of which were very good! I found the cauliflower pretty hot, but I’m also inclined to like less spicy in general. If you’re like me and can’t eat cilantro, then there aren’t very many options on the menu, but I did not feel I was missing out, everything I had was great! The ice cream struck me as a bit...salty? It was really good when paired with the chocolate cake though.

Overall I’d highly recommend it, especially those wonderful tacos with jackfruit and amazing black beans!

Agradecido por Gracias Madre! - Edit
Gracias Madre is the place to go to for plant-based Mexican cuisine. Their menu is determined by what they currently grow on their own organic farm. I also love its emphasis on family. One of my favorite things is to order a bunch of the antojitos and share with everyone.
I love the Coliflor Frito, easily one of the best fried cauliflower I’ve had which can turn any non-eater into one. I also really like the Quesadillas de Camote, sweet potato folded in their handmade corn tortillas and drizzled with cashew nacho cheese. Lastly, a meal wouldn’t be complete without their Jackfruit Carnitas tacos, an explosion of flavor found on both of their happy hour and entree menu.
Agradecido por Gracias Madre! It is one of the reasons why the Mission is my favorite neighborhood for vegan food.

My life is now complete! - Edit
Beyond amazing, deserves more than 5 stars! My life was not complete until I tasted their Gorditos! Super wow! The BLTA wrap and smokey marguarita were also beyond delicious! The rim of the glass was seasoned with a mix of salt & sugar & ground citrus peel & smoke, in perfect porportions! The service was devine. The best elevated Mexican cuisine I have ever tasted.

I enjoyed the cauliflower taco and jack fruit taco. Very diverse plant based flavors. The vegan pumpkin empanada was zesty and could tell it was really dense with nutrition. I would recommend keeping up with the latest prices because didn’t realize the bill was bigger than I realized

Love your Madre - Edit
Our group of four LOVED the food at Gracias Madre. My local omnivore friends surprised me by choosing this amazing vegan restaurant for my vacation to SFO. I especially loved knowing I could order anything on the menu and had a hard time making up my mind but finally chose the Bowl Uno ($16) Tempeh chorizo, black beans, guacamole, brown rice and pico de gallo served on a bed of romaine and topped with nacho cashew cheese and pepitas), which was delicious, but my favorite dish served to our table was the Enchiladas Verdes ($17) Two rolled tortillas filled with potato, zucchini and peas topped with tomatillo salsa, crema and avocado. Served with sautéed greens and beans).

Wish I could give it 10 stars 😍 - Edit
The food & service is amazinggg. At first when I was reading the menu I thought sweet potato quesadillas with pumpkin seed salsa sounded .. well gross... but it was one of the best damn things I’ve ever tried!! I got the cheese potatoes which were seasoned and roasted to literal perfection. 👌🏾 I also got the Chorizo Torta and omg the bread they use is sooo freakin soft and chewy, it almost tastes fresh or something ! The customer service was one of the friendliest that I’ve experienced and it definitely made me want to come back 100 more times 😂

100% Organic and Vegan Mexican Cuisine-- DELICIOUS!! - Edit
Fantastic all vegan, all organic, super wholesome and flavourful Mexican cuisine! I actually used to work here many years ago and I can absolutely say this is an extremely ethical place that cares deeply about their staff, guests, and of course making the planet a better and more sustainable place. A lot of their food is grown locally at the Be Love farm. I returned to SF recently and was able to bring my hubby here (after telling him about it for years!) and he was blown away by the food! The Torta (Mexican sandwich) was fantastic, as were both the Jackfruit taco and cauliflower taco. Their margaritas are a must! I remember their Peach Cobbler was phenomenal!! It was not on the menu during my last visit. They did have a mixed fruit cobbler, which was also very nice, but I hope they also bring back that Peach Cobbler!! Was happy to see they were taking every COVID precaution as of August 2020. Some outdoor seating was available and we had a lovely time! I usually see this place with a massive line everyday, but during COVID we were able to be seated straight away and had a fabulous meal with great service.
