Very tasty - Edit
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
If you’re looking for an unforgettable vegetarian Indian dining experience, [Restaurant Name] is the place to be! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff made us feel right at home.
The menu is a paradise for vegetarians, with a wide array of flavorful dishes that showcase the rich diversity of Indian cuisine. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, but the paneer tikka masala and baingan bharta stole the show – bursting with authentic spices and perfectly balanced flavors. The garlic naan was fresh, soft, and paired beautifully with the curries.
The presentation was as impressive as the taste, and the portions were generous. To top it off, their mango lassi was the perfect sweet and refreshing treat to end the meal.
The service was impeccable – attentive without being intrusive, and they were happy to accommodate dietary preferences.
If you’re a fan of vegetarian cuisine or simply love Indian food, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon! Highly recommended!

okay but would not visit again - Edit
I came here because of the many good reviews online. After visiting I'm fairly certain they bought / faked most of them.
Read moreThe place is fully vegetarian with most of the things being naturally vegan.
The waiter was not very friendly and a little pushy, just okay.
Very bland and oily food. Small portions.
Okay price but considering the taste and size of the portions, I would not recommend visiting.
Pros: fully vegetarian
Cons: oily and bland

A good vegetarian restaurant that servers dairy, but no eggs - Edit
A small Indian pure vegetarian restaurant. Fairly clean and good service. Another plus point? They know what dishes are vegan friendly and will recommend accordingly.
Read moreWe were seated quickly and ordered. Ordered a regular Thali and a Thali with Paneer for Mrs. The vegan version came with Aloo Gobi and a Daal with Roti and rice with roasted Papad and some yogurt that Mrs took care of. The same with the other Thali except that it came with an extra serving of Paneer dish.
The food good and tasty. Perfectly seasoned and spiced. The food fresh and rotis good. The vegan Thali was not enough for me so had to order Chole and instead of a Batura had roti which came with only one. Again the quantity seemed way to less.
Pros: Vegetarian , Knows which dishes have dairy
Cons: The quantity may not be enough on some dishes

Child-size portions for full price. - Edit
I ordered a potato dish from the "MAIN COURSE" section of the menu for 160BAHT.
Read moreThe portion is that of a side dish. It is so small. Not sure how this is a "main course" dish.
I also ordered a "SODA WATER" for 20BAHT, which at most places means a full bottle of soda water in a glass. Here is just one small glass, with some weird gross lemon additive I did not ask for. Very gross. And they charged 50BAHT for it.
I just can't believe how small this main course "meal" is, although is very good.
There is no point for me to try to come back here.
Pros: Vegetarian. Good tasting.
Cons: Child portions..

Came here because of the label 'vegetarian' - Edit
Haha we're the two girls from Finland mentioned in the previous review. Actually we thought the owner was bit too pushy and made us order what he liked.
Read moreWe came here because of the fully vegetarian label too and the owner understood well what vegan means which was nice. The food was average to be honest, but good thing was that they made it low in oil because we asked. Prices were okay considering the place is in the middle of Pattaya. Even though the location in this map is not correct.
We've eaten in so many indian restaurants here in Thailand so maybe our standard is too high. I recommend this place if you want to support vegetarian places rather than those many others in Pattaya.
Pros: Tasty food, Okay prices
Cons: Staff could be more friendly

Good food, ok roti but bad owner/manager - Edit
After travelling for a while I was craving for some good home cooking. I turn to Govindam due to their reviews and 100% pure vegetarian food. I was really looking forward to good food and hospitality.
Read moreThere were two girls from Finland who came after me who were treated by loyalty. The owner attended to them several times checking if everything was ok, and never blinked an eye or smile at me. I spent more money then them combined. I was very disappointed with his hospitality and the roti. Traditional roti are supposed to be paper thin and light. This was half way between a proper roti and naan bread.
I am leaving a feedback on happy cow as he was keen on getting the girls to leave a review. I hope he learns a lesson from my review.
Cons: 210 for a thali. Not cheap by Thai standards.

Decent place to eat - Edit
Govindam Vegetarian Indian Restaurant
Read moreI am a lover of Thali (a Thali is a combination plate of Indian food) because I often eat alone and want to have a variety of flavors. To order separate dishes would mean I could only have one or two before I am full. So Thali's or buffets are the way to go for me.

Good vegetarian Indian restaurant - Edit
I've been in this place several times and will keep going there in future. Staff there is friendly and helpful, food is tasty, price is affordable, vegan options available.
Read moreFirst time I was at Govindam with my friend, we were offered two menus (pictured one and full one), there were no special signs/marks for vegan food. Waiter didn't understand (or maybe didn't hear clearly) when we asked about vegan options in menu, but he understood us well when we said "no ghee", "no milk", "no paneer".
Most of the times I ordered dosa (115 baht) and some soft drink (30 baht) and that was enough for one quick meal for me. Usually dosa is served with coconut and coriander chutney and daal. Actually I'd prefer another daal, but that was also fine (but too flavored and spicy).
Also I tried daal tadka (150 baht), veg pulao (130 baht), some curries (150 baht), green salad (50 baht). All was good, portions were pretty big. One minus: daal tadka was not as I used to eating, not from yellow/red lentils, may be from mung beans or peas.
All prices are exclusive of VAT.

Pros: wide menu, tasty food, good location
Cons: daal could be better

Good portions, low quality - Edit
The big offer of milk and cheese products are not really likely for vegans. They don´t really understand what vegan is. The smell for garlic and onions was too strong for me. I left the place without ordering.
Read moreNot recommendable if you aren´t a fan of indian food.
Pros: Clean
Cons: Strong onion and garlic smell, No real vegan dishes, Expensive fried rice
