So attracted to check this restaurant out due to it's recommendation on Happy Cow, and because of the name, Gopal...a name for Krishna...we decided to try it out. It was a small but pleasant, clean little cafe/restaurant. I ate the curry dish with tofu, which was really tasty, and vegan. And my husband ate a burger plate which was also really good. This restaurant is connected to a hotel name Laksmi, which was really beautiful in the lobby. Anyway, the server was great, friendly and informative and I would highly recommend trying this place out, as there weren't many full-fledged vegetarian restaurants in Sanur.

When I went I was the only person there. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The juice was really good, and the meal I had was really good Balinese food. Before my meal they served me complimentary appetizers.

We’ve been to this place a lot of times and have always liked it. Really good vegan food and really nice staff! Definitely going back. Best in Sanur so far!!!!

After having had dinner here once, I would recommend this restaurant if you are in Sanur. The food was quite good, but not great, and the prices were also reasonable. The service was also really good.

Had lunch. Plenty of vegan options. The restraunt is in a random location and it doesnt have much atmosphere. Service is fairly slow and it took a long time for the food to come out. However it was hot, fresh and pretty tasty. Had the veg curry, which was good. Prices are reasonable.

We had dinner there and both the Cap Cay and the Club Sandwich were very tasty. Prices and size of portions are good and fair and they gave us free chips and a glass of water as a starter. We had friendly and interesting conversation with the staff and would have come back, if it wasn't our last evening in town.

The neon sign on the outside did not look very welcoming and when we entered the restaurant which has a glass front to the street it felt like a fridge due to the air con. But when we asked the staff to turn it off it became quite a nice place with a clean decor.

Unfortunately we found this place on our last evening. There are many choices that i would want to try...it’s easier to eat different stuff in this restaurant. In others I always ate the vegetarian nasi goreng, because I didn’t found a suitable other food choice.

I've been there once for dinner and it was very delicious. The vegetable curry with potatoes was perfect and very cheap. The stuff is friendly. You get free drinking water and WiFi.

Fresh and new this restaurant offers vegetarian and vegan with 100% pure eats ❤️🙏❤️ the owner is a Hare Krishna and is connected with ISKCON. All the food here was different and the choices are huge! We had nachos vegan style which where yum and two main dishes which where equally delicious... full of flavour and spices. Highly recommend

My friends had dinner at a place known for its meat. Afterwards we went to Gopal's Cafe so I could eat something too. Eventhough my friends had eaten already, they all wanted to try some of the vegan/vegetarian dishes on the menu. We all enjoyed our food. The cafe has many vegan options and you can choose between western, Indian and Indonesian fare. My favourite was the fried mushroom in sweet and sour sauce.

First of all, yes, it’s a really great space. It looks really lovely, overlooking the pool. But it’s totally overpriced and the quality is not good, probably because there were no other customers. Doesn’t seem to be popular. I had the Indian breakfast and it was disappointing. The fruit not freshly cut, the bread was old and stale and the rest was lacking in flavor. On top of the already high prices comes 21%tax. Service was okay, but not necessarily really friendly, more pushy to spend even more money. Wouldn’t go again!

En route from Ubud to Uluwatu we stopped here having spotted it on Happy Cow. Service was quick and efficient and the food was very good indeed. We had vegan burritos (they had a kind of ‘cheese’ sauce / mayo made from coconut milk with no egg. Also, ordered the vegan ristaffel which was a selection of veggies / tofu / tempe and rice, they swapped the panneer sate for tofu. Would return for sure, highly recommended...

I and my wife were in the middle of Sanur area of Bali after a long travel from Ubud. This evening we were really hungry and desperate to find a vegetarian restaurant. We were walking on the side of the road and stopped at this restaurant. We must say we were lucky to find this place. The owner was so happy to welcome us and to find out that we were pure vegetarians by birth from India. The owner is an Indonesian converted vegetarian from past 10 years. The menu has all vegetarian options, it includes the local Indonesian vegetarian options with other regional varieties too. The restaurant is under a hotel which has 16 rooms. Its a good option for the vegan friends who wish to stay at a location which as vegan restaurant nearby.

Welcomed in promptly and sat straight down. Menu is simple and easy to use as the whole place is vegetarian...there is milk in a few items so be sure to double check if you are vegan. We ate here 3 times and thoroughly enjoyed all experiences. The Mie Goreng is delicious!!! Please note the directions on Happy Cow are incorrect...you will find this place in the lobby of the hotel MAHA LAKSMI.
