Flawless 😍 - Edit
We were beyond impressed by this restaurant. The selection is extensive and they both cater for traditional Thai and more western oriented taste buds. We went for the red vegetable curry, a quinoa salad, a papaya salad and the ginger, teriyaki tempeh. Also, the drinks offer is v large and goes from fresh tea to fancier drinks such as hibiscus soda, lassis, kefir and smoothies/shakes. We will be back for sure!

A visit during the world wide Covid outbreak. - Edit
I live in south Thailand but visited Chiang Mai for a break. It was a real shame because this meant that the place, which is so spacious, was largely empty. The food was excellent. Big portions. Staff attentive and spoke English well. Overall costs, quite reasonable. If I lived in Chiang Mai this would be a regular. If visiting, this is one place you really must visit.

Western Food - Edit
Lots of vegan choices here. We had the burger and mushroom steaks. Both very filling meals, big portions. No alcohol served here, so we had fruit smoothies. I had chocolate cake for dessert. It was 'ok', a little dry. Goodsouls promotes sustainability, using recycled napkins, metal straws etc. But when I asked for one of my steaks to be put in a paper bag to take away because I was too full, they put it in a big plastic container. Not impressed. I removed it and put it in a napkin, left them the plastic! The restaurant is nice, and staff friendly. Prices a little high, but to be expected with 'western' food.

One of the best burgers I've ever had - Edit
So delicious! We had a mushroom cheese burger which was devine, the homemade chips and mayonnaise to accompany were top class. And khao soi which was also delicious, I couldn't eat much of it but a taste because it was mildly spicy and chilli makes me ill, but my wife loved it! We then shared a raw brownie with coconut ice cream and a raw mango passionfruit cheese cake which were both amazing. There are lots of other things on the menu I would like to try on my return which will be asap including a mushroom steak and a mushroom Philly cheese steak sandwich! Lots more western dishes, thai dishes and cakes to try as well.
Read moreOn our return we had the Philly cheese steak and the mushroom steak. The Philly cheese steak sandwich was good without being spectacular, the overall flavour was very nice, but the actual mushroom taste was sort of lost in amongst all the other flavours. The mushroom steak was fantastic, I think it was basically 2 of the burger patties without the buns etc
In between we also came here for smoothie bowls which were really good and the chocolate crepe cake is one of the nicest cakes I've ever eaten anywhere ever!

Mushroom burger was banging, as were the fries and homemade mayo. Raw brownie was a little dry for my taste, altho the flavor was good. The coconut ice cream helped it immensely.

King of Vegan Goodness in CM! - Edit
Been going here several times a week for a year and a half. Every day when I first got to CM. Still our favorite, and now they have a 2nd location - check it out, different menu!
Read moreHave western food and Thai food. All delicious dishes. I typically don't get the Thai food as I can get that from a local place for 35thb, whereas prices here are about 100thb for the same dish. But the setting is much more classy. So that's what you really pay for there.
Portion sizes are generous. Lots of healthy options.
Pros: So many great options, English-speaking staff, Friendly staff
Cons: They aren't 24/7 lol

Delightful Vegan Sweet Treats - Edit
Goodsouls Kitchen was a straightforward walk from Wat Phra Singh. The staff members were friendly and efficient. Free wifi was available. The mixed berries smoothie bowl (frozen strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, banana, almond milk, and coconut yoghurt) cost 140 baht. It was thick, rich and creamy, with a sweet and tangy flavour as well as a satisfying crunch from the toppings. The smoothie bowl was the star of the show and I wish I could have tried all the other smoothie bowls too. The coconut ice-cream with whole-wheat banana pancakes cost 130 baht and was mildly sweet and soft. The mango and passion fruit cheesecake cost 90 baht and was nice but did not seem like a cheesecake in flavour and texture, as it resembled somewhat icy blended fruits with little creaminess or cheesiness while the crust resembled a granola bar. Overall, though, the food was delightful and healthy, with very affordable prices.
