Wonderful little cafe! - Edit
What a cute place! Great atmosphere, friendly staff. We went for lunch and got a BBQ veggie burger and a salad (all other entrees were sold out). Both dishes were very good! Definitely worth a visit.

Cute, quiet, and delicious! - Edit
I’ve been to this restaurant several times, and each time has been so peaceful. The menu changes every couple months but all options are vegan and delicious. The drinks are great too. It’s a bit expensive, but worth it for the portion, taste, freshness of ingredients, and atmosphere. I love sitting among all the plants!

Delicious Sandwhiches - Edit
A cozy vegan farm cafe on the second floor of Futako Tamagawa Tsutaya. It was really lovely to sit down and enjoy a sandwich and a drink while people watching, surrounded by the many plants from the Tsutaya plant shop.
Read moreThe food is local, with vegetables from local Setagaya farms, and really delicious! I got the Green Dry Curry Sand with soup set and the Herb Lemonade. It was excellent, full of flavor, but quite pricy, and the salad and soup were a bit too oily for my liking. I do plan on going back though and trying out more of the food.

Edit: They keep changing the menu, and I find it quite lacking right now. Nothing to rave about. I hope that the toast comes back soon.

really poor service - Edit
I checked instagram and went more than an hour from my house to this place, and found a sign saying cashless payments only.
Read moreI was so hungry I just went and ate somewhere else, then loaded up my Suica so I could buy something here and pay and came back for dessert. Which is gelato. Only gelato.
The staff member was visibly bored, rushed me through the ordering process (i.e. telling me what I wanted) and was scrolling on her phone multiple times in front of me while ostensibly helping me.
It is one of these ordering systems where you need to pick how many flavors of gelato you want without seeing what flavors they have that day. I chose a single, then picked Kaffir Peach Milk and it was truly awful. I could not taste any hint of milk or peach, just a total sugar overload, and I am not afraid of sweet desserts. The cone was good.
I got a mikan alcohol to take home, made by another maker, and it was sickeningly sweet too so I guess whoever is buying for the restaurant just has really different tastes than I do.
The restaurant is pretty, the kitchen guy seemed nice but other than that it was a total fail. I am not sure I would even come back and try again. 3 stars just because it is all vegan, otherwise it would be 1 or 2 stars.
Pros: shop is pretty, kitchen guy seemed nice
Cons: worst service I have ever had in Japan, overly sugary ice cream with no flavor, cashless payments only

Like the name says - Edit
There's a complex of shopping malls, restaurants and offices connected to the train station of Fatoko Tamagawa. One of these buildings houses a shop called "Electrics". It sells electronics, books, music, furniture, household items and of course food and drinks. On the 2nd floor, next to the flower shop, one can find a little vegan restaurant called "Good Green Things".
Read moreAnd it does exactly what the name says: they offer good plant based food! We started with one of their open sandwiches, which are big, rich in (high quality) ingredients and well presented. If you opt for a set meal it comes with a delicious cup of soup and a drink (I recommend the oat milk). The side dishes are decent as well, with the "green meat balls" as a favorite.
A day later I tried the "green dry curry" and... I was hooked! It is a bowl of rice, chopped green leafy vegetables, fresh herbs, nuts and fake meat. I loved it! Not only did I love the taste, it is extremely nutritious and well balanced on energy, fiber and vitamins. So for the next few days I kept ordering it again and again!
So to sun up: "Good green things" delivers exactly what the name says, and if you're a vegan you now know the place to go in the Fatako Tamagawa area!
Pros: great food!, decent prices, enough variation to visit frequently
Cons: credit card only
