Decent Flavors, but Missed the Mark for Me

I tried the veg Sheekh kebab, which came as a veggie patty. It had good flavor, but the texture was a bit dry for my liking.
The Hyderabadi Biryani had a nice blend of spices, which I appreciated, but it was unfortunately a little too oily for my taste, and some of the rice was also clumped together, rather than being the light, individual grains I expect in a biryani.
Overall, the meal was okay. Given the glowing reviews I’ve seen, perhaps I didn’t order the best options for my personal preferences.

Good food for good price

Nice experience at Golden Sppon and they do easily adapt to vegan request. I only tried the Indian food, not the Chinese but everything was excellent. Do not judge on how it looks outside, the restaurant is upstairs. I would recommend if you pass by Abu Dhabi

Pros: Food, Price, Service

Cons: Posto

Plenty of vegan options in a not so vegan friendly area

They have a vegan menu, which is nice. I ordered the garlic naan and the soya chaap masala. It’s not often I see vegan garlic naan so it was nice to have that. The masala paired well with it. Great choice when visiting Abu Dhabi

Best Indian in the city

Restaurant is entirely vegetarian with a vegan menu. Staff are very accommodating and can pretty much alter other stuff as needed. The owner/manager is amazing and will make sure everything goes smoothly.

We pretty much always order the same stuff: biryani, samosas, Hakka noodles and aloo gobi. They also have a vegan version of butter chicken which i always seem to forget the name of as they have two similar items. Both are great anyway and I highly recommend them.

Incredible food and cleanliness

We went to this restaurant for a meal today. As soon as we entered, we noticed it was much cleaner than any Indian restaurants we had been to. The staff were friendly and helpful and understood our dietary requirement being Vegan and catered to it happily. The food was incredible. It was super delicious and the portion size was big. Bonus- Very good quality for what we paid. Absolutely loved our sizzler too! The manager was also very helpful. Absolutely hidden gem.

Pros: Cleanliness , Scrumptious food, Helpful and friendly staff

Really vegan friendly & tasty

I ordered dinner from here tonight and ordering vegan dishes is so easy, because they offer a clearly labeled "Make it vegan" tick box next to all dishes that are available in vegan versions. There are a lot of dishes to choose from. The food is pretty authentic, so if to tick "Spicy" you'll get just that, desi theeka banana. Good stuff. Will order again.

Pros: Lots of choice , Clearly labeled , Tasty

Outstanding Indian vegan food

Golden Spoon does not have a separate vegan menu, but the staff is knowledgeable about vegan food and can recommend which dishes can be prepared vegan. The food was a pure taste experience and the quality was exceptional for the price. We would definitely come back again. Greetings from L&L

Pros: Friendly and competent waiters , Big variety of vegan options, Good value for money

Delicious with a VERY helpful and pleasant owner!

I was looking for a vegan-friendly option in Abu Dhabi and found Sahil, the owner, to be super accommodating. He clearly explained things before my arrival and made sure that everything was perfect while I was there. The menu is extensive, the food delicious and the service was excellent. The setting was very pleasant and very clean.

Really good food. Alot of food for your money. The only bad thing was that the waiter was practically watching us eat. We where the only once there but still...

very good vegetarian indian

the food is really good and the prices are amazing too.
the menu doesn't really explain what comes in the dishes, so either check at home or prepare to choose randomly, which is also nice sometimes.

Maybe the best vegetarian restaurant in Abu Dhabi

Faced with many, many dishes, a big group of us ordered blind. By the end of the meal we were blind with ecstasy. There are tons of vegetarian Indian restaurants in this area, but Golden Spoon seems less greasy than others, and also is a bit neater and less hectic. Good for bigger groups without a wait or a night that's really about eating till your heart's content.

Golden Spoon is not even five minutes from Sama Tower, nearby Red Castle. The food is really cheap. The men on the table next to us ordered a “veggie fry” that smoked out the whole place, only adding to the atmosphere.

Recommended: Paneer Makhani and Dum Alloo Kashmiri, noodles, chana masala, bhindi masala.

Pros: inexpensive, convenient area, clean
