No eggs. No Garlic. No onions! This is rare!

This is one of the best Indian vegetarian restaurants that we had. We always ordered their chicken rice, nasi goreng kampung, murtabak, laksa, tahu goreng

Pros: No Garlic and no onion , Service is fast and approaching

Cons: Chicken rice is always out of order!

Delicious mutton masala

One of the few places in the Fortune Centre open until 20:30, which is helpful when you want to head there for dinner. We tried the sardine curry puff to start, which was delicious, and then had the mock mutton masala (the highlight of the meal, would come back just to eat this), the chap chye (was average, nothing special about chap chye LOL), and two rotis and two chapatis. The breads are very nice, especially with the mutton dish, but overall we found it quite pricey compared to most Fortune Centre places. Our friends ordered a laksa goreng, which looked amazing and we will definitely be back to try this, and the mee siam, which also looked yummy. All in all, not as many options as the main Gokul in Little India, but nice to have the option of Indian food in the Fortune Centre for a change. We will be back!

Craving for authentic allium free briyani satisfied

It is not easy to find an Indian restaurant that is allium free. Have always loved briyani since young and have been missing it ever since I convert to plant based meal with no alliums. The briyani is better than I expected, totally not dry at all. And the portion is very generous (was really really bloated after finishing). The mock meat also does not taste mockish.

Also tried the lady fingers which I will recommend to everyone. Taste really good! Sardine puff is not bad. Mee siam unfortunately is too bland. Will come back to try other food!

Pros: Love the briyani! , Service staff are friendly.

Cons: Restaurant is abit small, limited seating.

Veg versions of local delights

Environment: Casual, fast-food style, a little uncomfortable (but feels authentic and local)

Food: While having vegan versions of Singaporean food in Hong Kong is almost next to impossible except for laksa and "chicken" rice, it is a delight to be able to try different local foods at a very reasonable price. It may be a bit more oily and salty than the healthy whole food I'm used to but I'm happy to be able to eat local foods with my meateater friends together. Quite some options ran out towards the end of the day, so it's better to go early.

Service: Self-service

Price: Low

Pros: Good for a quick meal or takeaway

Cons: Dishes don't come with much vegetables

Too unhealthy

I think their food is too oily and not most ingredients are not fresh.
I feel whenever i eat here i feel bloated. Note i just ate 1 dish.
And even my friend felt the same.
I don't know but their food quality and ingredients are doubtful.
Considering their money minded mindset i doubt they value health of people eating there.

Pros: Vegetarian

Cons: Poor quality ingredients, Oily

Tasty + spicy

Asked about the vegan options and got the butter chicken masala pretty much forced on me (but I got told all other options too after some pressing). The dish was very tasty - although weak Europeans beware, I ate one of the hot peppers and almost cried. The service is quick but it did annoy me a bit that they hover over you to take away the dishes as soon as you take the last bite. Pretty loud location, too.

Yummy!

Thank you for the amazing vegan curries! We had the butter mock chicken and the tikka massala. Both were amazing and served with rice and roti made it even better. The food serving was so big and was so full after.

Nice but needs improvement

Had the Nasi lemak and the Dum briyani with my partner. The Nasi lemak is always my go-to when I’m at this outlet as I really love the spicy ‘fish’ and tempeh with beans sides with the fragrant coconut rice. As for the Dum briyani, the rice lacks the ‘kick’ a briyani should have :/

extremely affordable, and super delicious.

I wish I had extra days in Singapore to try out more food at Gokul. I first tried the chicken and rice, and loved it so much that I came back the next day to try the hokkien mee. A regular customer who was ordering takeaway at the time of my ordering had recommended both of those dishes, and I'm happy I followed her advice. So much that I wanted to be sure to post about it, and recommend it to you.

Best Laksa ever! Butter Chicken Masala was awesome too!

Okay, the best Laksa ever! Thick, rich and creamy sauce coupled with the aroma of laksa leaves, and the crunch of sprouts and thick bee hoon. And the Butter Chicken Masala tasted equally amazing, even without butter and chicken. Rich, herby and flavorful, goes super well with the fragrance basamati rice. Young girl behind me equally amazed by this vegan friendly place! And yes, i finished them both. #gokulvegetarian #plantbased #vegan #happycow

Pros: friendly service, delicious food, big variety

Cons: slightly pricey but bit portions

Good find :)

Visiting Singapore from Australia, I found Gokul to be something fresh and different to back home. Cant beat a good hearty vegetable curry, with rice and some rotti to dip. Really enjoyed this place.

Pros: Good value, Big variety of curries to share with friends, Tasted great

Cons: Restuarant is a bit dull atmosphere, Cleanliness could be improved, Service could be better in terms of friendliness

Confirmed open October 2016

They freshly prepare many local dishes but only use vegetarian ingredients. An example is the tasty fish curry in which they use mock-fish.
South-Indian and Chinese dishes, drinks.

The best choice of North Indian food w/ mock meat!

We stumbled across this restuarant while roamiing around Little India. It looked iniviting and after checking the menu outside, noticed there were around 200 choices of vege items on the menu. We were sold!! We actually couldn't decide on what to try. An interesting item is the vege fish head curry. I never liked the taste of fish or seafood, so if this mock version tasted too much like it, I would not have liked it. But its great to have the option of trying these regional native dishes in their vege form!!!
The food was fantastic, the restuarant is cute and the prices are not too high! I would definitely go there again!!

Pros: Many choices, Delicious, Good value

Cons: Tough to find

Peace ...

Much to savour - Vegetarian Cuisine

One will be overwhelm and spoilt with vegetarian choices that can be found in this humble place - Fortune Centre. With Gokul Vegetarian Restaurant opening an outlet in Fortune Centre, it spices up the vegetarian food scene there. You may want to consider a mini culinary vegetarian tour to Bugis soon ...

While Gokul Vegetarian Restaurant at Little India has an abundance of wide varieties, this outlet may not be as impressive in comparison. Nevertheless, there are still some good selections of Indian and Local favorites dish on their menu. No onion, garlic or eggs are used in their dishes and cater to the special requirement of some Vegetarians.

Vegetarian Murtabak (Mutton) @ S$5 and Vegetarian Indian Rojak @ S$4.5 were the two dishes that we ordered. Simple yet delicious!

Nice

I was searching for a place to eat at the morning... Come to Fortune Centre, never thought that lots of vegetarian restaurant there. Apparently at Gokul, they only serve about 3-4 menus at the morning. So I chose Dosa. It tasted awesome! Even my sis who never liked Indian food wanted to eat there again for dinner!

Pros: Not expensive, Clean
