Confusing for vegans - Edit
The Goddess and the Baker was a disappointing experience for us. When we arrived we noticed right away that NOTHING was labeled vegan. We asked the worker if they had any vegan items and he was just as confused as us. He said they did but he didn’t know which items were vegan. He looked at the pos system to find out and gave us 3 options from the bakery case to pick from and one food item. We ordered two banana pecan muffins that were allegedly vegan, but we couldn’t know for sure which was unsettling.
Read moreHad we known we were going to need to wait 20 minutes for two very small, overpriced, and cold in the middle muffins, we would’ve just taken them home to heat up ourselves and try to bring them back to life with some butter. It certainly was not worth our $9 and 30 minutes for two muffins. We would not go back.

I love meeting friends here for coffee. Originally this was my stop for coffee on my way into Milwaukee from Madison. I used to get a growler of the rice milk horchata latte for the drive back.
