LOVE - Edit
I absolutely love giving tree. Everyone is so kind, the music is great, and there’s tarot/mana decks available for use. The vibe is amazing and the food is so thoughtful. I loved the Crunchwrap, which is such a fun spin on a classic. They really care about health and quality here. I recommend the hot tea!

i love what this place represents and the overall vibe of it, i just didnt enjoy the buckwheat pancakes. they weren’t very sweet, had to eat with syrup over the entire bite. love that its a healthy alternative, just wish they made it more enjoyable for most people. ginger lemonade was pretty good, not overly gingery/spicy

Honestly....no - Edit
So i ordered the breakfast crunchrap, Ceasar salad, the big enchilada and two fudge brownies. The only edible thing was the salad and ONE brownie. Everything else...I'm not sure what spices they use but one bite and my boyfriend and i were nearly gagging. The crunchrap didn't have any sausage like the description said it did and it tasted like eating pure perfume when they say natural, they mean it cuz it tasted like the ground. The enchilada i thought would be better but there wasn't even any vegan cheese it was rice, a black tortilla some rice and a heap of guac i was confused and couldn't finish it either. Im glad i tried it but I'm alittle bummed that $60 went into the trash that night

If you are looking for DELICIOUS, high vibrational food, and a beautiful peaceful atmosphere, this is a great place to come ✨ everything is made in house, from the dough, to the sauces, bread, deserts, fresh pressed juices... You can tell the food is made with love.
Read moreI could eat here almost every day if I could! After eating here, my body feels recharged.
The veggie burger, tacos, papas soup, crunch wrap supreme, pancakes....are some of my favorites... Everything is so delicious! They have a secret menu also, with quesadillas, and can customize your order with raw veggies, or different sauces as well.
All gluten free, vegan, organic.... It's a health conscious person's DREAM. To be able to eat freely, without restriction is a blessing.
Beautiful atmosphere, with a great section for kids to play, and read.
The patio is green and lush with trees, plants... It's a great place to bring friends, family, and for celebration.
I'd recommend to anybody looking for delicious, high vibrational food. If you are visiting from our of town, this is a place you have to visit ✨🌳🥙

Interesting place and tasty food - Edit
I got to meet Dave Warr the night before @phxvnm and was enthralled with the care put into making their Ginger Lemonade ~ quite a story teller!
Read moreToday I heard about his new sculpture going up based on the iconic “Lunch atop a skyscraper” by Charles C. Ebbets/unknown. The sculptors - both vegan 🌱🙌🏽
I had the Vegan Quiche & Filet O’NOT Fish, a Warrior Mindset shot, and Green Mountain (Ginger Lemonade with wheat grass) ~ so good…
I do wish the portion sizes had been larger.
Pros: Tasty!, Relaxing, spacious environment, outdoor shaded sea, Kitchen is open to the restaurant ~can walk around
Cons: Portions are on the smaller side

Interesting but unexceptional food - Edit
We have eaten here numerous times largely because other vegan places have been closed. The food is okay but not exceptional. The food suffers in part b/c of some of their menu restrictions based on what they believe is healthy, no soy, gluten etc…. Their taco shells and brownies are too examples. The shells are cold and too soft/fragile to pick up. The brownie was horribly grainy and my chocoholic spouse could not eat it. All the desserts are made with coconut oil as is the quiche. Perhaps the most unhealthy thing a vegan could eat and it is used heavily in their menu. Ironic for a restaurant trying to be healthy.
Read moreLarge number of menu options with all day breakfast is a positive. Most vegans could find something they would like on it.
The portions are generally small and leave me a bit unsatisfied. Last time I had the tacos and they would be so much better some beans. The smaller portions are perfect however for my petite spouse. For the money other vegan restaurants are a better value.
The atmosphere is good with great background music. As the space is rather large it can feel a little dead when not filled with people though. Patio could be spruced up. A screen/hedge to shelter you from street would be nice.
Pros: Large menu/all day breakfast , Good atmosphere , Good service
Cons: Unexceptional food, Small portions , Mediocre value

Healthy and delicious! - Edit
If you are looking for a healthy vegan meal this is the place to go! We have tried the chili, enchilada, Crunchwrap, lions mane tacos and jackfruit pizza. Everything was delicious but i would have to say the lions mane tacos and the jackfruit pizza were our favorite meals. The cheesecake and cardamom orange truffle are amazing! We actually got more cheesecake to go and a brownie we haven’t tried yet. Francie (not sure if I spelled her name correctly) is amazing and extremely helpful for a somewhat indecisive guy like myself. You must try the ginger lemonade! It is perfection!!! The staff was great and they all seem to work together very well! Note… the a/c could definitely be better, although it was 118 out when we were there. I didn’t catch the male servers name but he was amazing and attentive to everyone in the restaurant! Will be back!!

Nice vibes - Edit
The staff were really friendly and walked me through the merch they had when I asked. I got the rose cardamon pie which gets points for being creative but wasn't as good as the chocolate cake which I also got - who doesn't love two desserts, right? Also it's a big open space so if you're going to partake in indoor dining during a pandemic, this seems like a decent one to try. I got takeout myself.

total hit or miss - Edit
started off great with the FOMO cracker plate. i loved every part of it. my partner ordered the crunchwrap and i thought that was good as well. although i don’t think i could justify spending $13 again for it. it was small and gone in a few bites. (doesn’t come with anything else) however i ordered the veggie burger and it was honestly one of the worst things i’ve ever eaten. ive been vegan for 7 years and i’m pretty used to all kinds of plant based foods. the patty was flavorless and fell apart instantly. the bun was quite literally hard as a rock. i tried several times to bite it and it wouldn’t budge. but the worst part was (i’m assuming) whatever “sweet mustard” they use. i am not exaggerating when i say the entire thing tasted like i was drinking floral perfume. i took the initial bite and almost threw up it was so overpowering. i took a second and that was it. it was so bad i couldn’t even finish it. total waste of $15
Read morethose three things are the only thing we’ve had from there and although i would recommend the first two, i would advice to try at your own risk.
Pros: hummus and guac are incredible , crunchwrap is good alternative if craving one , the bathrooms are super cute
Cons: overpriced , extremely long wait time after ordering, staff wasn’t very friendly or attentive

Super cute and all homemade! - Edit
All vegan, trendy little place. Great variety of options on the menu and everything is made in house. It’s all delicious. I heard of this place through their sister restaurant in Sedona called the Chocolatree which is equally as good but with a more laid back environment. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

Healthy vegan fare - Edit
I expected this to taste like your standard healthy vegan/gluten free restaurant and it did. It wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t choose to eat there again. The portions are small for the expense and tasted fairly blah. The Caesar salad does not even remotely compare to the one at Veggie Grill. The chili was good, but tiny. The dessert was not good and tasted like healthy mush. If you love raw restaurants, this is for you. If you like Green and Verdura, this isn’t going to knock your socks off.

Giving Tree is great. Happy to have another plant based option in Phoenix. I love their Buddha bowl and lentil pancakes with their variety of chutney sauces. All of the soups I’ve tried have been amazing as well. They also offer some refined sugar-free desserts that are really creative and delicious.

Our favorite - Edit
We visited The Giving Tree twice in one week and enjoyed both times. We had Christmas Day dinner here, and their holiday special was delicious and very satisfying. The the staff was very pleasant and genuine. The food, atmosphere, & people were all perfect. We were a little disappointed that a few items had sold out for the day, but since everything is gluten free we had lots of options. Thanks for being a perfect fit for us gluten free and vegan folks

Upon walking in friendly staffs immediately greet us with the most inviting attitude. I love all the decors including the live hanging plants, large crystal Specimen, and the high white ceiling, with lots of open space and the kids playground, the setup is well thought-out to accommodate everyone's needs. We order the amazing Mango Lassi, Jalepeno Poppers, Buddha Bowl, and Vegan Seafood Gumbo. The food is freshly made with creative plating. I can't wait to go back to experience their full menu.

We really enjoyed the ChocolaTree Organic Oasis in Sedona, and when we heard they were opening a restaurant (Giving Tree Cafe) in Phoenix, we were super excited. We have only been to the Giving Tree Cafe during the soft open, so we will update this once we experience their full menu.
Read moreThe area is great, the restaurant is large and has a seating area outside along the road, all of which will grow into its own over time, but a bit bare for now.
The opening menu had some great selections, we tried the Papas Potato soup, along with the Big City Chili, Shakti salad, Spring Dragon iced tea, and two slices of pie, the Chocolate Hazelnut Pie, and the Humble Warrior Pie.
The Papas Potato soup was great, very clean, fresh, elegant, beautifully plated. It could have used a bit more salt, but not a biggie. Would order this again, especially on a cooler day.
The Big City Chili was good, but more like a Southwestern minestrone than chili, but delicious, fresh, clean flavors. We cleared both of our bowls.
My partner had the Shakti salad all to herself, she loved it, it was beautiful and had great flavors.
Our Spring Dragon iced tea was also great, lightly sweetened to the perfect amount, refreshing, and energetic.
The Chocolate Hazelnut Pie was delicious, loved it. The Humble Warrior Pie was had by my partner, she said it was good, but not as good as the Chocolate Hazelnut Pie.
All in all, a great dining experience, we will be returning.
Pros: Great location, Fresh flavors
