I wanted to like this place. My mother and my cousin went to grab coffee this afternoon, and after she didn't get her order for over an hour, she asked to speak to someone. David the owner came out and yelled at her aggressively to leave the cafe. My mom's English isn't great so she was horrified and hurt and didn't know what to do, especially being embarrassed in public like this. She also wanted to not be embarrassed in front of my cousin and have her see how someone can be treated this way. She is a US citizen and we grew up in Arizona. We've never been treated like this before. She was so upset that she didn't know what to do. I expect better in these times form our neighborhood spots.

The food here is good- Buddha bowl is filling and great healthy dessert options.

My review however is on the behavior of the service and especially the owner, David. I saw him yell at a woman on 12/16, telling her to get out and never come back and threatening to call the police. All she did was ask about her coffee order which was late. In this environment, poor service is expected and we are forgiving- the pandemic has hit restaurants hard. However, treating people in such a way (without explaining the delay or following up with an apology) is horrific- especially women of color or anyone who may not speak English perfectly. We are a community here. She looked mortified and we just watched in shock. I hope he apologizes.
