Delicious vegan food in an Environment cautious ambiance - Edit
I went here with my hubby and two friends and we had a great time. If you’re looking for a healthy vegan meal you are in the right spot! I had their lentil dal which was super comforting.
Read moreThe staff was friendly, and I loved how environmental cautious Giving Tree Café is. For example: they have reusable towels in the bathrooms that you put in a basket instead of paper towels.
Pros: All vegan food, Healthy and wholesome ingredients, Environmental cautious (eg: reusable hand towels)

I want to like this place so bad! - Edit
The food is...fine? I get that it's healthy but...flavor? Cool vibe in the restaurant decor, staff didn't seem very happy to be there. I think there is potential but wasn't really feeling it today.

not edible for me - Edit
I dont like to give low ratings for vegan restaurants, but nothing I ordered was edible for me. I got the burger, and the bun was slimy with a strange texture. The caesar salad had a really bad-tasting and smelling-dressing. Nothing had visual appeal and looked more like airline food.
Read moreThe free green juice shot they gave me was good, and the vanilla something oat milk latte tasted fine, but had a gritty texture. The drinks were the only things I was able to finish.
I can be picky so I took the food for takeaway to give to a non-vegan friend who is not at all picky, and he could not eat any of it either. He said only the croutons on the salad were good.
It was also more than 30 dollars for what I got, which for me is a lot of money. All the food ended up in the trash bin.
Pros: all vegan
Cons: inedible food

Tasty wrap! - Edit
I ordered the original crunch wrap, which was delicious! I really appreciate that they make the tortillas and burgers in house. I have a number of food restrictions in addition to being vegan, and usually I’m unable to order wraps because I’m not able to eat the tortillas, so it was nice to stumble upon a place that has wraps I can eat. I also loved the ambiance and how they have oracle cards and games at the tables. I’d definitely like to check this place out again!

I’ll be coming here more often! You can taste the quality and they care about everyone’s health by not using seed oils.l to cook with. If you can’t decide what to eat definitely go with one of the krunch wraps, filling and delish!

high quality - Edit
I was recently visiting PHX and I ate at the Giving Tree three times (my flight was cancelled so I picked up lunch & a juice one more time on my way out)- everything I had was excellent! The owner was extremely nice and really knew what hospitality was (hard to find these days). This was a nice break from the greasy vegan food I ate at other places. I loved the water (phoenix tap water is NASTY) and that they used cloth napkins. The only thing I would have wanted changed is when I ordered my green juice, I thought it was freshly juiced & served in a glass, but it is pre juiced and bottled in plastic.

Could not love this place more!💚 - Edit
Being whole food, plant-based and salt, oil and processed sugar free, as well as gluten-free, it’s not easy to travel. I was so thrilled when I found this place. These are my peeps. David, the owner and executive chef, came out to talk to me personally, to make sure I felt comfortable with how they would support me. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. I could’ve stayed all afternoon… Oh, yeah, I did. 💚💥🙏

The atmosphere was great and the staff was good as well. The only thing that Chai latte tasted water down ($8). My sister got one as well, and hers was like that too. I wasn't sure if it was because it was later in the day or if it always tasted like that. The food was alright, I was expecting more flavor. But give them a try.

Grrrreat lunch spot - Edit
We had the Buddha Bowl and original krunch wrap. The almond tahini sauce on the bowl was to die for. The squash was perfectly cooked too. The krunch wrap was pretty good with the sauce. The lentil wrap could’ve used a bit more seasoning or salt but it served its purpose well.

I’ve been here a few times and each time the service has been amazing. The food was good, but my favorite was my cake I got, I believe it was the Rose Cardamom (also had it in a iced coffee version).

Not my most enjoyable experience in a vegan restaurant around Phoenix. I can’t say it was bad, but with the other options in the area this is not my first choice. Still, I think it’s worth checking out for yourself and making your own judgment.

First and last time. Not overly impressed. The live music was good. - Edit
Went to meet a friend in the evening, left to go somewhere else after a disappointing experience. I purchased a brownie, might've purchased more but.... Initially walking in I waited at the counter for a bit before I could order. The woman who took my card and order seemed rather annoyed with me. I said I wanted to eat in but she made my water and brownie to go. Also there seemed to be some type of issue with getting my water, so I spoke to a younger woman (who was friendlier) who was going to get it and the original person told her she was handling it but took forever to get the water to me. So then I sit down, eat my brownie and listen to the musicians which were very good. I finish up the water and brownie. The first woman was talking and chatting with other patrons asking if they needed more water, etc. But with me she just took away the to go water cup and the container the brownie came in almost without saying a word. I stayed and listened to a few more songs before leaving. I got the feeling I wasn't wanted there period. Perhaps I was dressed wrong. I didn't know I was required to tip for lousy service. I wasn't rude at all. So much for peace and love and all the good things that were said on the sign above the kitchen area. Actions speak volumes over words. Also, almost 6.00 (not including tax) is a ripoff for an organically made brownie. It's all cool though. Won't be back again and I'll take my business and money to Green restaurant next door, they are much more welcoming and friendly.

This place was horrible - Edit
This place was horrible. Unfortunately, it was a combination of the horrible food and equally horrible customer service. We had to wait over 30 min for our Caesar salad “appetizer” (it should have been with our main meal). Then, another 30 minutes after we finished the salad, our server said, “Are you ready for your check, or do you want dessert?” We then said, “Well….we’d like to have the rest of our food.” Because, we were waiting for a Crunchwrap, side of fruit, pancakes, and the Filet No Fish sandwich. The server looked confused for a second, and then scrambled to the kitchen. To make it worse, she then came back with the rest of our food and then said, “I noticed the food just sitting back there for a while, but I didn’t know what table it went to.” To make it worse: she was the same server that took our order.
Read moreNow for the food review. The Crunchwrap: VERY bland. I would avoid this. The Filet No Fish Sandwich: it was OK. I wasn’t getting “fish” vibes from this, but more of an-alright fried eggplant sandwich. The pancakes: disgusting. Our table of three each took one bite, and left the rest on the plate. The Golden Latte: this was EXCELLENT. One of the best ones that I’ve had. The Strawberry Smoothie: very good. Caesar Salad: this was ok. The croutons were great. The side of fruit: the best dish that we had out of all of them.
If you are considering going here to eat, I would suggest to walk 10 feet next door to here, and go to Green or Nami, which is consistently amazing.
Pros: Golden Latte, Side of fruit, Presentation
Cons: Service, Everything on the menu

1st Visit…. - Edit
There is a lot of seating, and everything was well spaced out, there is a play area for children to play while they maybe waiting for their food. There inside has live plants and the staff were very friends. The menu has a good assortment of choices and their drink selection is good from smoothies, juices, coffee and deserts drinks. The one thing I was sad about was the taste, I got the Mac Maxx wrap and I think I had a high expansion because the name made me think it would taste like a Big Mac. But I was disappointed, the food was bland and the sauce was ok over all. My wife got the original wrap and that was good, the taste was good and there was good flavor. We also got the pancakes and that was ok, what saved it was the maple syrup, but the butter substitute was not good at all in my opinion. I will go back and try again and I hope to try something else on the menus. Over all, give it a try and known that the food is super healthy but not too tasty. #Veganuary

I absolutely love giving tree. Everyone is so kind, the music is great, and there’s tarot/mana decks available for use. The vibe is amazing and the food is so thoughtful. I loved the Crunchwrap, which is such a fun spin on a classic. They really care about health and quality here. I recommend the hot tea!
