Girls and Boys is the ice-cream shop attached to the Vegie Bar in a perfect location on Brunswick St.

It is a little bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for and it is good for a treat every now and then.
They are also on UberEats and my FAVOURITE is their berry shake, which comes in a glass bottle even when delivered so no plastic waste either! Would definitely splurge on a mixed tub of their ice cream for a special occasion.

Can’t get over how chuffed I was with this. Got a double scoop vegan ice cream (hazelnut/ginger bread) for around the $7 Mark I think. I consider that a bargain for the portion and peace of mind that ll items are plant based.

Visited again in Dec 2018 to find the soft serve machine gone :(. Now there is just the gelato which is nice enough, but I'm less likely to go out of my way for it.

We enjoyed a big kid choc top with nuts and the raspberry choc soft serve, which is very much like a sundae in size, topped with delicious vegan meringue wafers, raspberries and chocolate; enough for two people easily. At $12, it's also excellent value. Would like to see the Gelato range expand but very impressed nevertheless.

I enjoyed an ice cream sandwich which was a donut filled with salted peanut butter ice cream. Loved the donut! My sister had a “mini” pimped soft serve choc raspberry flavour which was coconut ice cream in a cup with chocolate brownie pieces and raspberries on top. There were about 10 ice cream flavours to choose from as well as a cabinet with donuts and croissants

oh boy how i love this place. i dreamed of somewhere like this existing 12 years ago when i first went vegan lol. i LOVE the choc top... the kids one is big enough and so good. $5 for an amazing vegan ice cream makes me very happy. i haven't tried anything else on the menu yet because i love that kids choc top too much.
