Huge variety, huge flavour - Edit
So many options I was shocked. Salted Belgian dark chocolate, roasted pistachio, hokey pokey, rose Turkish delight, salted caramel panna cotta, fresh pineapple, toasted coconut and lime.....20 vegan flavours in total to choose from. And then there's a baked goods cabinet too. Agh!

Wonderful Variety - Edit
Was excited to see so many different vegan options! Went with the peanut butter cornetto, lamington and pavlova - all awesome. The pav was my favourite though. Lovely customer service. Also had the dulche de leche cinnamon bun, which had great flavour, but was very dense and dry.

Dope place worth the money - Edit
While the price is something to scoff at, Newtown is renowned for bleeding you dry.
Read moreHowever, I find one cone/tub to be extremely satisfying in both craving and filling. I ordered the vegan coconut and it was delicious, even had coconut flakes in it, and I'm a texture person so that was a nice bonus. My mate ordered the vegan pavlova (which...has pavlova pieces in it...not quite sure how that's vegan but he said it was awesome).
Its in an awesome location, the customer service we got was a little lack luster but we all know what jobs are like and it was towards the end of the day. The gelato is bomb.com and has some awesome flavours like turkish delight, peanut butter and chocolate, cookies and cream! You can bet your ass I'm gonna be back to try them all
Pros: extensive flavour choices, great location, very satisfying
Cons: price...$5 for one serve, nothing else

Excellent - Edit
Amazing range of vegan gelato and sorbets, plus donuts, brownies etc., all of which can be combined e.g. an anzac-biscuit gelato taco. The flavours are amazing and the staff are wonderful. I would highly recommend this place.

HEAVEN! - Edit
I have never come across such a large range of vegan gelato's and desserts!
Read moreThey clearly label whether they are gluten free or not and are kept separate from the dairy ice creams as well.
Keep up the good work guys

Good vegan options - Edit
Not the best gelato (I've tried their dairy ones when I wasn't eating as a vegan) but they do have an entire section got vegans and it's the most extensive one I've seen! I'm sure most vegans are sick of strawberry and lemon sorbet etc.. Well they actually have vegan ice cream with a smooth and creamy texture! I had the salted caramel popcorn, hokey pokey and a strawberry tart flavoured one. There's about 8 gelato flavours from what I can recall, plus they can make a big dessert for you using their brownies, cookies etc (all vegan of course!). There is also a separate section selling vegan treats like salted caramel tarts etc.

try a milkshake! - Edit
I'm visiting from the US and several locals led me here for a legendary soy-based milkshake. My mind is still blown. Vegans here are very lucky!

Looove this place! - Edit
A dedicated vegan section contains more than the usual fruit gelato flavours, including "vegan roché" (a ferero roché -like flavour), peanut butter choc brownie ice-cream, fig, and after-dinner mint. They also sometimes do a special vegan treat (e.g. vegan cornettos, using vegan cream-filled canolis). Too good, and I always leave feeling extremely guilty! The staff are also awesome, smiley and friendly.

Amazingly creative vegan gelato flavours - Edit
You just never cease to be amazed and surprised on a visit to Gelato Blue. Surprised at the new flavours on offer when you were expecting (hoping) for an old favourite. And amazed at their creativity in inventing new awesome flavour combos.
Read moreFor instance, a couple of weeks ago I had a hankering for my fave choc peanut butter brownie gelato. I was disappointed for a split second that they had not made it that week, until I spied the rocher vegan sorbet. Wow! Now I will be hankering for that one until the next exciting flavour comes along. They sure know how to keep you coming back! In fact, I think I should pop along tomorrow to make sure I don't miss something!
Pros: Amazing vegan gelato, Amazing vegan sorbet, Just simply amazing
