Gelato company founded 1947 and presently operates franchisees across Italy. Dairy based but has vegan ice cream options which are labeled and may include flavors such as seasonal fruits, dark chocolate, and banana. Ask for vegan cone. The hot gianduia chocolate sauce is vegan. Open Mon-Thu 12:00-21:00, Fri 12:00-22:00, Sat 10:00-22:00, Sun 10:00-20:00.

Brings back sweet memories of Italy - Edit

I knew this chain back when they were only operating in Italy (as far as I knew at least) and I was so happy to discover that they now have a shop in Düsseldorf. Tastes just as good as it did in Turin! They have a good range of vegan flavours (out of around 20 flavours 6-8 were vegan, they keep changing which flavours are being offered). Not only fruit flavours are vegan, there is also a dark chocolate flavour (so far my favourite!), a stracciatella with blackberry (very good) and a coconut flavour. All of them are very creamy. The vegan gianduia chocolate sauce they put into the cones before filling with ice cream is very yummy too. So far the best ice cream I've had in Germany!

Pros: Very tasty, Good vegan selection of flavours, Vegan cones and vegan chocolate sauce available

Cons: A bit confusing to order at first, Long queue (it's worth it though!)

Many vegan flavors - Edit

- the vegan flavors are plentiful and clearly labelled
- it is not charged per ice cream scoop but according to portion size
- in my opinion the ice cream is a bit too sweet (artificial)

Lecker Eis in Oberkassel - Edit

Sehr leckeres Eis, die vegane Auswahl könnte etwas größer sein. Dafür sind ab und an Eissorten dabei die nicht direkt ein Frucht Sorbet sind und für Abwechslung sorgen. Die bestelltet ist etwas verwirrend, aber da steigt man schon durch 😄

Very delicious Icecream - Edit

Icecream is really good quality. There are not artificial flavours.

Pros: Cons are vegan. Flavours are vegan labeled.

Intense flavour - Edit

Ordering at the counter is a bit different than common: First you order the size of the ice cream and pay. Only then you move on to the next staff with your ice cream choice. The monthly offer is printed on menues with many vegan choices (clearly labelled with a vegan symbol) including fancing ones like almond with bisquits. The taste is really intense and delicious.
