Super schönes, nachhaltiges, bio Lokal. Essen war super lecker. Es gibt viele Optionen. Mit 2 flatbreads kriegt man gleich 3 tapas. Das Essen ist frisch und super lecker und man wird schnell bedient. Wir haben gleich 6 Flatbreads bestellt. Ein Freund hat mir das Lokal als kulinarisches Highlight von Ko Tao empfohlen und ich kann nur zustimmen. Unbedingt herkommen !!

If you’re vegan this is not only an amazing place to stay but also to eat. The menu items are clearly well thought out and prepared with a lot of love. The portion sizes are very generous and the prices are incredible given how much you get! We also loved their coconut iced lattes and the sharing tapas deal (2 flat breads, 3 tapas for 300baht)!

The place is lovely, the vibe is amazing, and everything seems perfect. But I tried the spinach bread-thing and was a bit disappointed. It didn't taste that good in my opinion. Will like to try some of their other food in the future!

There’s no way around it: this place isn’t cheap for Koh Tao or Thailand in general. At 350B for the combo meal (two flatbreads and three tapas), it was the most expensive meal I’ve had in Thailand. But it’s also a lot of food, all of it was fresh and delicious, and it was so damn good that I had to go get it again and try some more of the tapas despite the price.

Also worth mentioning is the nice island atmosphere with different seating options, friendly staff dogs, laid-back music, and fellow vegan travelers. It’s a cozy spot to hang out.
Definitely a splurge on a backpacker budget, but I’m glad I spent the money!

You don’t have to be vegan to appreciate Gecko. They have created such a lovely atmosphere with their decor and aesthetics. The staff are attentive with exceptional English speaking ability. They have managed to reach 100% sustainability, from the interior to the food and materials. The menu has been designed brilliantly with a variety of breakfast and evening meal options. We introduced ourselves to someone who we later realised was the manager, John! He was so so lovely and told us all about his journey! Definitely worth a visit if you are vegan and care about the environment but equally, those who aren’t vegan will appreciate the food and overall vibe Gecko has to offer. There is a pool table, free drinking water, advice and trips around the island and many more interesting factors!

Nice vegan Cafe with really delicious tapas. We were a bit sad about the size, as we were still a little hungry after the tapas combo - if the tapas size would have been bigger it would be perfect. The kombucha is good too. The food is fresh and very tasty.

I had the amazing good fortune of getting to try some of their dishes while passing through Koh Tao. Even though I had takeaway by special request, the presentation was nice and I loved their use of blue butterfly pea flowers and colorful fresh spring rolls. Enjoyed their pita dips, especially the hummus, each dish had excellent flavors and I loved everything I tried.

We had the coconut french toast and the flatbread with waterspinach/pesto/vegan mozzarella. The toast is a really sweet en lovely breakfast. The flatbread was nice and fresh, but a little to salty. When we came in we were greeted by a tiny and happy dog, which was really welcoming. The service is good.

They also introduced us to a local Thai tea 'trick' that we hadn't seen before.

We had the smoothie bowls which did not consist of frozen fruits. They had rather room temperature and not a creamy, icy texture that you expect from a smoothie bowl. The flat white coffee was not hot enough.
