Nothing special

Very nice interior, exterior seating areas. The food was ok, we had veg curry. We’d been cycling (luckily not done 100km that day) and found the portions weren’t substantial enough.

Pros: Outdoor seating , Toilets

Cons: Portions, Pricey

Restaurant for the whole family

Great variety in the menu - ranging from typical Austrian dishes for the "meat is my veggies"-type of grumpy grandpa and for kids who eat nothing but Schnitzel, to Ayurveda for that one aunt who's into esoterism and tried yoga once.

Jokes aside, this is a very nice place for families and couples alike. Food quality and regionality are outstanding. Also seasonality is very important for the likeable couple who runs this place. While he serves the guests, his wife works magic in the kitchen.

Within walking distance there is the famous river Donau (a.k.a. Danube), the town's sole cinema (known as Stadtkino Grein), and the cafe/confectionary/ice dealer Schörgi (who BTW has some vegan options as well).

Make sure to check the website for opening hours. Reservations are recommended, especially after 8 PM.

Pros: Parking lots + charging for e-cars and e-bikes, Outside seating + shelter from sun/rain (50 seats), Playground around the corner, if you have kids

Cons: Playground around the corner, if you hate kids
