Located on the ground floor of a transient hotel. Plain dining room with pink walls. The only dairy is the yogurt and milk tea. Some dishes may have eggs, but easy for vegans to find items. Food is Nepali-Indian. Serves dosas, pakoras, parathas, veg curries and more. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-9:00pm.

Terrible experience!

The food was terrible when I went here, and pretty much nothing on the menu was available. Terrible service.

My go to lunch spot

I lived and worked in Thimphu for 6 months. Gashel was my go to lunch spot. I ate here at least 3 times a week.Bubble gum pink walls and brightly lit with a great vegetarian menu. Dosas are fantastic. Never had a bad meal here. And the prices are low. It hard to spend more than the equivalent 2 -3 USD for lots of food. Oh how I miss Thimphu and Gashel

Pros: dosas, all vegetarian food, prices

Cons: no decor to speak of
