Brilliant little place - Edit
My goodness the food is gorgeous. I had the Ay Papi bowl and the de la soul juice. Just lovely. It’s situated in the market, which is really cool. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Great music in the background. So much better than a boring coffee shop! Definitely recommended

I got the Ay Papi and it was delicious! The walnut taco “meat” was something I hadn’t tried before but I loved it! The staff was super friendly and quick too

My food was delicious but... - Edit
I had the taco salad and a banana chocolate tart from the dessert case. I took my food to go and it took a really long time to receive it despite what seemed like a normal number of customers. They were also taking a really long time just to take orders. Despite the line it didn't seem like they were making an effort to move people through it. I was wondering if they were doing that to stall because the kitchen couldn't catch up.
Read moreAnyway, I try not to be too scroogey about wait times and things in case I catch a restaurant at a bad moment. I just feel like this particular place needs to be faster because there's almost nowhere to stand while waiting for your food without blocking other stalls in the market. So I feel like it's more important in this context.
Anywho, I absolutely adored the taco salad. The cashew cheese and the vinaigrette were really flavorful and the walnut taco meat was truly scrumptious. I really loved the whole dish. On the minus side, once I got home with my foot and opened up the chocolate tart it was moldy. Because of the mold I wasn't planning to really eat it but I took a small nibble of the side that wasn't moldy and it tasted mostly like coconut, which was kind of odd. I don't think I'd order that again even if it was fresh.
I look forward to giving Gangster Vegan another chance and hopefully updating my review to be more positive. I will definitely be back for more of their savory food and hopefully will have a better service experience.

I was never a fan of raw food but I have to admit the dishes in our restaurant were all amazing. I tried also what my girlfriend ordered, so it was like 4 different dishes in total, never disappointed.

Fabulous vegan food in Fed Hill! - Edit
Gangster Vegan has a prime location in the recently renovated (and very spiffy!) Cross Street Market. The food was fantastic - very fresh, well-seasoned and inventive. The staff member we dealt with was very friendly and welcoming. The areas where you take your food to sit and eat boast up-to-the-minute design with beautiful tiling, wood benches, stools - very chic. All-in-all a really high-end experience.

I’ve been to the PA locations and am glad GV is now closer to home. Ordered the ESTA LOCA salad today, which was delicious, service was also friendly.

Last year while in California for Eat, Drink, Vegan...I’d heard this place was going to be opening up so I finally had the chance to stop in while driving back from nyc. Let me just say this will be my new stop on my trips to NYC. Organic, Raw and 100% vegan...who can beat that...not to mention delicious. I ordered the Ay Papi to eat there and got the Notorious to go. Loved both. This is also the first place that I can say makes fresh juice every bit as good as my own. It’s obvious a lot of thought and love went into every detail of Gangster Vegan. Well done and much appreciated.
