Come early! - Edit
Unfortunately they only had vegan cookies left when I visited in the afternoon. I was told the vegan banitsa sells out at 10 am at the latest, so be early! (The cookies were delicious 😄)

A favourite among locals - Edit
Loved the atmosphere, clearly labeled vegan options and the coffee was amazing! I had two different banitsa’s, one sweet and one savoury later during the day. The sweet one was filled with brown sugar, walnuts and pumpkin purée which was amazing and not too sweet which I feared - 12/10. The savoury option I picked was filled with lentils and curry, which was also good but slightly dry on the inside, which sadly disappointed a little. I expected a creamy filling, but it was nonetheless tasty!

Best banitsa I had in Sofia - Edit
The pumpkin banitsa is definitely the best I had in Sofia. Soft, a bit chewy, crispy on the edges and the right amount of sweetness. I also tried the mushroom banitsa, I’m not the biggest fan of mushrooms, but it was very yummy too. Service was friendly and spoke English very well. Cute little place mostly for take away, I’d highly recommend.

Typical Bulgarian Breakfast - Edit
They had some vegan Baniza options and plant milks. The owner is very nice! However, not much room to sit, so you have to be lucky to get a seat.

Small, Cheap, Friendly - Edit
Everything vegan is clearly marked. 3 Benitzas were vegan and milk alternatives were available. They don't have many seats inside but the waiters were really friendly and offered ideas for a typical Bulgarian breakfast.

Tasty banitsa - Edit
I tried a curried lentil and a mushroom and dill banitsa and they were both delicious, not oily but a bit on the small side for the price. They also had 2 sweet banitsa available.

Amazing food, really nice staff - Edit
Had the potato and thyme and mushroom potato banitsas and they were both amazing. A bit too small for the price you pay, but still worth it. They weren’t at all greasy (like most banitsas) but they weren’t too dry either. Amazing! Also had some chocolate chip cookies that tasted like Christmas and I also got a free energy bar thrown in. Would definitely go again.

Best breakfast ever - Edit
The apple, cinnamon and brown sugar banitsa was amazing - I wanted to buy another one but was too embarrassed cos I'd already bought so much. The sugar caramelised over the pastry and the apple was tender and the walnuts added a beautiful crunch. The fresh orange juice was the nicest I've had. The mushroom and potato banitsa was really nice too, but I liked the sweet one more. I also got the pumpkin and chocolate chip cookie which my friends loved but I'm not sure how I feel about cinnamon in a cookie! Lovely place though, friendly staff and the orange juice is a must! Hope I can go back!

Good for trying local food - Edit
It was nice to be able to try banitsa. On my visit there were 5 vegan banitsa's (out of 19 total). The sweet onces were a bit too sugary for my liking but the curry lentil one was very delicious. We also bought a walnut sourdough bread which I really liked.
