A 100% plant-based all-day brunch restaurant since 2020 specializing in eggs Benedict, açaí bowls, burgers, assorted pastries, specialty coffee, juices, smoothies, more. Everything is made from scratch in the Frutas Prohibidas workshop including vegan meats, eggs, cheeses, breads, and more. No reservations but has a booking system at busy times where a table can be requested and a wait time is given. Open Wed-Sun 10:00-18:00.

Stunningly Great Brunch/Breakfast - Edit
For Vegans, Breakfast and lunch get left behind or stripped down to basics; We get avocado toast or the occasional tofu scramble. Frutas Prohibidas has decided to provide something more and provide it at an extremely high level.
Read moreThe Eggs Benedict (no matter the style you choose) is a marvel of vegan ingenuity. I was stunned by the texture of the outside. I was stunned again when I cut through it to find the gooey yoke. I've never had anything like it in my life. Paired with the hollandaise sauce, truffle pearls, and parmesan cheese, It becomes the perfectly concocted dish.
We also ordered two drinks: the Red velvet latte (Beet and chocolate) and the blue latte (Spirulina). The red velvet latte has a delicate taste, but the Spirulina was wonderfully sweet and full of flavor.
The sleek, modern decor is comforting and cool. Get there early because the place fills up quickly, watching as multiple groups were turned away within the first half an hour of opening. You will not be disappointed.

Honestly my favorite vegan place that I tried when I was vacationing in spain. The food was amazing. The bread was absolutely delicious, some of the best bread I have ever eaten lolll. The vibe was awesome too . The inside was really cute . They actually had water for free (Ik very American of me to say) haha but definitely was much appreciated. A meal I won’t be forgetting.

Se trata de un lugar en pleno centro de Madrid que además de ser un populoso restaurante vegano es un laboratorio vegano, ya que todo lo que allí se cocina es casero.
Read moreEn nuestro caso, probamos las alitas de nopollo como entrante, los uevos benedictinos clásicos y el sándwich de revuelto de pollo.
Los huevos eran una pasada, aunque el interior es una especie de salsa agridulce que habrá que seguir trabajando en ella. La experiencia con ellos fue muy chula y hasta emocionante.
El sándwich está muy rico, según la opinión también de mi pareja, pero el interior es similar a la composición de las alitas, aunque mejor en el segundo formato.
Por otra parte, las bebidas están muy elaboradas y especialmente me gustó la limonada azul eléctrico que pidió mi pareja, aunque la de carbón activo estaba rica también.
Por último, el café de especialidad es una pasada!
Otros detalles: no se pueden hacer reservas, pero siempre están llenos y si quieres ir a comer a las 14:00, llega media hora antes y apúntate con el qr a la cola virtual. El tiempo es menor porque hay gente que no espera tanto.
Se definen como un lugar informal e íbamos como tal, pero la atmósfera es totalmente contraria a la informalidad, así que tenlo en cuenta.
Pros: La comida está increíble , La carta digital es una maravilla
Cons: No tienen sistema de reservas, No es un restaurante informal, El servicio es algo caótico

Everyone was so friendly. It's a long wait but you can get on the list online. We had pancakes (with whipped cream) and the truffle burger. You can get a gluten free bun (which was very good). We are full!

We ate breakfast there and came back for lunch because it was so great. Had the Pancakes in the morning and Tacos and burger in the afternoon. For real, this was the best place i ate at in Madrid. The people were super nice and friendly. I can really recommend this place!!

Read moreAfter some nagging from friends I gave it another chance and... Food was delicious. Really excellent, but the prices are... Way high. Almost 14€ for a small sandwich is excessive for Spain. Many of the people eating there were tourists and I feel like it heavily caters to them.
So yeah, touristy, Instagram bait, pricey but really really good.

Where do I start? The staff are very friendly and helpful, the menu is extensive, and the food is just out of this world! My husband and I wanted to try the vegan eggs but could decide between original and truffle, so went half-and-half. They were delicious! We also shared a plate of ribs and quesadillas. We were stuffed by the end but it was worth it! Can't recommend highly enough.

New vegan place for me in madrid - Edit
The food was OK. I had the chicken wings and the double vegan burger. For my drink the purification. I spent €35. I had a black coffee that I had to return because it was like consommé or dirty water. I was told that is how an americano is served in Spain. I had to wait some time to be acknowledged after seating and for the table to be cleared after finishing .
